UNEXPECTED FEELINGS

Unexpected Feelings

Kingsley arrived at his apartment, where Kyle and Kelvin awaited.

"Hey, man! How was dinner with Summer?" Kyle asked.

Kingsley chuckled. "It didn't go as planned."

Kelvin leaned in. "What happened?"

Kingsley recounted the kidnapping, Summer's outrage, and her stunning appearance in the fancy dress.

Kyle and Kelvin exchanged disbelieving glances.

"And?" Kyle prompted.

Kingsley's smile faltered. "I think I'm falling for her."

Kelvin's eyes widened. "Whoa, Kingsley! You're actually developing feelings?"

Kyle nodded. "Dude, this isn't part of the plan."

Kingsley shrugged. "I know. But there's something about Summer..."

Kelvin asked, "What about the bet?"

Kingsley's expression turned serious. "I forgot about it. But now...I don't know if I can go through with it."

Kyle raised an eyebrow. "You're backing out?"

Kingsley hesitated. "Maybe. Summer's different. I don't want to hurt her."

Kelvin leaned back. "This is unexpected. Kingsley, the player, falling for his target."

Kyle and Kelvin exchanged skeptical glances.

"Kingsley, you're seriously considering backing out?" Kyle asked.

Kelvin nodded. "Dude, you've never been one to get attached."

Kingsley shrugged. "Summer's different. I see something in her."

Kyle leaned in. "And what about your reputation?"

Kelvin added, "You've always been the player."

Kingsley's expression hardened. "I don't care about reputation. Summer matters."

Kyle and Kelvin shared a concerned look.

Meanwhile, Summer reflected on Kingsley's confession.

"He kidnapped me, yet claims to have feelings?" Summer thought. "I won't fall for it."

But a nagging voice whispered, "Maybe he's genuine."

Summer pushed the thought aside. "No, I need to see change."

She listed Kingsley's offenses in her mind. "Kidnapping, manipulation..."

"To win me over, Kingsley must prove himself," Summer decided.

Summer envisioned Kingsley making amends.

"Actions speak louder than words," she thought.

Kingsley would have to:

Apologize sincerely

Make restitution

Change his ways

Summer smiled inwardly. "Then, maybe, just maybe..."

Summer's thoughts swirled. "Kingsley, the notorious playboy. How many girls have been in his apartment?"

She recalled rumors of his countless conquests. "He's used to getting what he wants, when he wants."

Summer's resolve hardened. "No way I'm letting him into my life. He'll only hurt me."

Memories of his lavish lifestyle flashed in her mind. "The fancy car, luxurious apartment...he's a player."

Summer listed reasons to keep Kingsley at arm's length:

1. His reputation.

2. His manipulation.

3. His kidnapping.

"And now he claims to have feelings?" Summer scoffed. "I won't fall for it."

She imagined Kingsley's past exploits. "How many hearts has he broken?"

Summer's determination grew. "I won't be another notch on his belt."

Just then, Summer's phone buzzed. Kingsley's name flashed on the screen.
