The War Call System had arrived!
While Hitler was passionately presenting his grand vision to the senior Bavarian officials in front of him, Losov and Sessel, standing on the side, nodded stiffly in agreement. They didn't speak, but they felt compelled to show some support.
For the time being, Cyric had nothing to do. This allowed him to finally focus on the voice in his mind.
By now, Cyric had become proficient at communicating with the system. Whenever he thought about the Blood Medal, a cold, emotionless voice would echo in his head, like a robotic response.
"What can I summon?" Cyric wondered. With such a powerful system, he was eager to know what treasures he could acquire.
"You can summon various weapons, equipment, and soldiers," the voice replied.
"Be more specific," Cyric muttered in frustration. Couldn't the system just elaborate a bit?
"Weapons and equipment include finished weapons and blueprint exchanges. Soldiers summoned are permanent biochemical mercenaries, categorized as war soldiers, male soldiers, elite soldiers, and soldier kings."
Still so vague! Even in his previous life, Cyric found dealing with the system annoying. It only responded with preset, formulaic answers.
Fine, if that's the case, let's get to work! Cyric didn't need anything too powerful for now. Given the current situation, what he needed most was...
"Summon five hundred soldier kings, five hundred AK assault rifles, one hundred RPG rocket launchers, and five T-54 tanks," he demanded without hesitation. He wanted to march to Berlin with a small army!
"Merit value is zero. Summoning is not possible."
What's this "merit value"?
"Merit value includes kill value and strategic value. Kill value can be earned by eliminating enemy regular forces, paramilitary units, armed civilians, and guerrillas. Killing civilians will result in punishment rather than merit. Strategic value is gained by occupying or controlling land outside the mainland. It is calculated based on the land's prosperity, population, and geographic strategic importance. This includes supporting puppet governments or puppet regimes."
For once, the system gave an unusually detailed explanation. Cyric understood the gist. In short, the system sounded powerful, but it was currently unusable!
Killing the people in front of him wouldn't grant him any kill value. As for strategic value—well, the country had barely started developing, and there were no enemy territories to occupy. Germany had just ceded the Ruhr Industrial Zone!
It seemed the system wouldn't be of any use for now. With that realization, Cyric mentally put the system on standby.
Returning his focus to the situation at hand, Cyric noticed that Hitler's speech wasn't going over well. The only applause came from a few scattered stormtroopers. As for the hostages they had temporarily taken, they didn't believe a word Hitler was saying.
Cyric, growing impatient, jabbed Losov in the back with his gun and whispered, "Applaud!"
Sweat dripped from Losov's forehead. The man standing behind him wasn't to be trifled with, so he had no choice but to clap.
Still, the scene remained awkwardly quiet.
"Hurry up, shout 'Long live Adolf Hitler!'" Cyric urged.
The dim lighting in the hall concealed Cyric, who stood directly behind Losov, so from the platform, no one saw that Losov was being threatened with a gun. They only noticed that Losov's behavior was off—despite the chilly weather, he was sweating profusely.
"I'll count to three, then I'll shoot," Cyric whispered coldly.
"Long live Adolf Hitler!" Losov finally shouted, understanding that if he didn't comply, he'd be shot on the spot. To survive, he had no choice but to obey.
His outburst stunned the hostages, while the stormtroopers began chanting arrogantly: "Long live Adolf Hitler!"
The chants echoed through the hall, growing louder and more forceful with each repetition. Outside, more and more supporters gathered, amplifying the fervor.
The scene was spectacular.
The chants from outside soon overpowered the atmosphere inside, and Hitler's speech grew even more impassioned. He condemned the current government's weakness and incompetence. To restore Germany's strength, a new dictator was needed.
Germany didn't need democracy. What it needed was a strong leader!
Half an hour later, Ludendorff rushed in. He was furious with Hitler for launching a rebellion without his knowledge and dragging him into it. However, after assessing the situation, Ludendorff saw that Hitler had achieved significant success. Reluctantly, he decided to stand with Hitler, as he, too, was deeply disappointed with the current government.
That night, many people didn't sleep.
Munich's elite, now held hostage in the beer hall, could see through Losov's insincere slogans. It was clear that he had been coerced by Hitler. However, no one in the room had control over their fate anymore. Just hours ago, they were powerful figures, but now they were like chickens awaiting slaughter, uncertain of their future.
Meanwhile, Hitler, Ludendorff, and their allies stayed awake, planning how to mobilize the masses and march on Berlin.
Cyric, ever vigilant, stood guard over three important prisoners. By now, he had become one of Hitler's most trusted men. When Hitler gave his speech, he had patted Cyric on the shoulder, commending him for his exceptional work.
In the grand scheme of the Beer Hall Putsch, Cyric was just a small character. There were thousands of people like him in the beer hall that night. However, Cyric's presence had already shifted the course of history. From this night forward, Germany was destined to be different.
On the other side of the city, Hitler's two other loyal followers, Heinrich Himmler and Ernst Röhm, led the Nazi Party's armed group, the "Imperial War Banner," and successfully occupied the Munich War Ministry!
