Then Beedrill, Butterfree, and other Pokémon gathered swiftly one after another.

By the time Evan and Gardevoir arrived, the Pokémon from the three groups had already surrounded the intruding Onix trio. The leader, Pidgeot, was engaged in a tense standoff with one of the Onix.

"Hmm?" Evan muttered, glancing at the Onix with a puzzled expression.

"What's going on?" he wondered. Why would such a group appear here?

Rock-type Pokémon are notorious for their enormous appetites, and the thought of having these colossal eaters around was enough to make Evan feel uneasy. If this kept up, he feared he might go bankrupt just trying to feed them.

At that moment, one of the Onix roared and suddenly moved. Without warning, it launched a Rock Throw, hurling large boulders at the leader, Pidgeot.

Caught off guard, Pidgeot was forced to retreat in haste. Seeing their leader under attack, the other Pokémon sprang into action.

This unprovoked assault could not be ignored.

Beedrill was the first to react.

"Bzzzt!" It let out a sharp cry and charged forward, signaling its comrades to attack.

The swarm of Beedrill followed suit, firing a barrage of Pin Missile attacks from their stingers. The air buzzed as the glowing needles shot toward the three Onix.

The Pidgey flock joined in, flapping their wings to unleash waves of Air Cutter attacks, while Butterfree added its own Air Cutter to the assault.

The combined barrage of dozens of attacks struck the Onix trio with overwhelming force.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!" Explosions echoed as the Onix were overwhelmed and collapsed, defeated in a single coordinated assault.

Evan watched the scene unfold, momentarily speechless. He couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all.

"What were you thinking, attacking so recklessly?" Evan muttered, shaking his head. "Now look what happened. You've been taken down by teamwork."

If the Onix hadn't attacked first, perhaps a peaceful resolution could have been reached. But now? Their direct aggression had backfired spectacularly.

The surrounding Pokémon prepared for another round of attacks, but Evan quickly intervened.

"All right, stop," he called out, raising a hand. "That's enough. They're already down for the count."

Another wave of attacks might have caused serious harm to the fainted Onix, and Evan wasn't willing to let things escalate any further.

He approached the unconscious Onix trio and fell into thought.

Should he send them away? Or could they be useful somehow?

Sensing Evan's indecision, Gardevoir used telepathy to reach him.

"Master, we should keep them," Gardevoir suggested. "If you ever need help loosening the soil or moving large obstacles, these Pokémon would be invaluable."

Evan considered Gardevoir's words and nodded in agreement.

"You're right," he said. "They could be helpful."

Without hesitation, Evan pulled out three Poké Balls and gently tossed them, capturing the fainted Onix one by one. He planned to have them treated first and then decide how to utilize their strength.

As Evan picked up the Poké Balls, he turned to address the other Pokémon who had gathered.

"Well done, everyone!" he said, encouraging them with a smile.

"Good job this time," Evan said with a satisfied nod. "Okay, let's get back to work. I'm heading home."

He glanced at Gardevoir, and the Psychic-type Pokémon immediately understood his intention. With a graceful wave of its hand, it teleported them away.

The surrounding Pokémon, seeing Evan and Gardevoir vanish, exchanged looks before dispersing. Some resumed their tasks, while others headed off to rest or explore. However, the Pokémon who arrived late couldn't hide their disappointment. They exchanged confused glances, seemingly asking themselves, Did we miss the action?

With a collective shrug, the latecomers eventually dispersed as well, returning to their usual routines.

Back at the breeding house, Evan placed the three Onix into the treatment machine for healing. Once the process was complete, he stepped into the yard and released them.

The trio of Onix emerged hesitantly, their massive stone bodies shifting nervously as they glanced around.

"Roar?" one of them rumbled cautiously.

Upon realizing the intimidating crowd of Pokémon from earlier was gone, the three Onix collectively exhaled in relief. Finally, the nightmare is over, they seemed to think.

The reality of their situation still baffled them. They had only been looking for a new home but ended up being thoroughly defeated. The experience was beyond embarrassing—it was downright terrifying.

Before they could fully relax, though, the sharp presence of two powerful auras seized their attention. Gardevoir and Gallade stood imposingly behind Evan, their expressions unreadable yet commanding.

The Onix trio froze, instinctively huddling together in fear. Their wide, pleading eyes flicked between Evan and his two formidable Pokémon.

Evan coughed awkwardly to break the tension. "So… what's the deal with you three? Why were you invading my territory?"

The leader of the Onix exchanged hesitant glances with its companions. Then, faced with Gallade's intensifying aura, the trio decided there was no use in hiding the truth. Using body language and guttural cries, they explained their plight: they weren't invaders but wanderers seeking a new home.

After hearing their explanation, Evan sighed. "I see. You're just looking for a place to live." He rubbed his temples in exasperation. "Fine, I won't make a big deal out of this."

He turned to Gardevoir. "Help them get familiar with the rules here. We can't have any more misunderstandings like this."

Gardevoir nodded elegantly, gesturing for the Onix to follow. Evan, meanwhile, muttered to himself as he headed toward the storage room. "Guess I'll need to make more energy cubes now. What a headache…"

As he worked, Evan began to mull over the broader implications of his situation. The area surrounding his breeding house was teeming with wild Pokémon, and even with fences in place, it wasn't enough to keep out intruders. Ground-type Pokémon could dig their way in, and Flying-types could swoop down from above.

"Should I just unify all the wild Pokémon around here?" he wondered aloud. The idea wasn't as far-fetched as it initially seemed. A unified territory could double as training for his Pokémon, sharpening their skills and keeping the area secure.

Pikachu and Charmeleon could benefit from additional battle experience, and Lurantis was due for some focused training soon. Gardevoir's evolution from Kirlia had set a high bar, and he couldn't help but think of how Sophia's Kirlia was nearing its own evolution.

"Maybe this is a good chance to whip everyone into shape," Evan mused, a spark of determination lighting up his eyes. "We'll challenge every Pokémon within a few kilometers. Make it clear this area is off-limits to intruders. And my team? They'll become the top dogs."

The plan was ambitious but promising. Securing the territory would not only protect the orchard but also give his Pokémon the confidence and strength to lead.

"Once Growlithe hatches," Evan added, "keeping the back mountain safe will be a breeze. They'll act as our sentinels, warning us of any trouble."

With his mind made up, Evan called for his team. One by one, his Pokémon assembled before him. Gallade, Pidgeot, and Gardevoir stood at the front, their presence radiating authority. The rest of the team followed suit, eager to hear their trainer's plan.

Evan smiled to himself. "Looks like Gallade will be leading this effort," he remarked. Gardevoir glanced at its brother and gave a subtle nod of approval, as if to say, You've got this.

"What a dependable sibling," Evan muttered, amused by the silent exchange.
