After listening to Rosa's words, Evan understood the reason for her arrival.

She wanted to strengthen her skills as a breeder.

So she came here.

"So... you want to work for me?"

Evan looked at her strangely.

Are you here to study? Aren't you supposed to be working for yourself?

Evan voiced his thoughts bluntly.

Rosa was momentarily stunned.

"Huh? I guess you could say that?"

"If you don't mind, I can work here."

"I don't need a salary or anything like that. I just need you to teach me."

"I want to become a Master Breeder."

She had thought it through.

She had no plans to become a trainer, and with her father managing the Gym at home, there was no issue with her staying here to study.

Evan looked at Rosa in surprise.

He hadn't expected her to say that.

So she really came here to learn.

After thinking it over, Evan nodded in agreement.

"In that case, you can stay."

"As for what you want to learn..."

"If I can teach you, I will."

"After all, the three people training here are all my students."

"However, the breeding house has business to run. If we want to make high-quality Pokéblocks, you'll have to help out."

"I'll pay you like everyone else."

"I'm not so heartless as to not pay wages."

"You'll earn the same as Isla and the others."

With that, Evan turned around and took her Pokémon into the breeding house.

Seeing this, Rosa quickly followed.

Back at the breeding house, Evan set his things aside and began checking the inventory.

Next, he needed to prepare some Pokéblocks for Marshadow.

And with that, Rosa officially joined Evan's breeding house—becoming his assistant.

When Isla saw Evan return, she immediately approached him to report what had happened at the breeding house the day before.

"Yesterday, Corsola's owner came to pick them up."

"They also placed a large order for Pokéblocks."

"Natalie and Iris stopped by as well."

"Plus, several customers came and bought quite a few Pokémon eggs."

"Both Seel and Corvisquire had two eggs sold."

"Miss Claire also picked up all her Pokéblocks."

"And Miss Violet asked you to prepare Pokéblocks for the next few months."

"Her Pokémon's appetite has been quite large lately."

Evan raised an eyebrow at Isla's report.

"Violet's Pokéblocks are already gone?"

"That was supposed to last two months, and she already needs more?"

Evan was genuinely puzzled.

What was going on with her Pokémon?

And those Pokémon eggs had already been sold?

Evan mentally noted down the earnings from the recent Pokéblock orders.

"It seems that with increased training, the Pokéblocks are being consumed faster."

"That's probably why."

"So Miss Violet needs to place another order."

"She'll be coming by soon to place it."

Isla wasn't entirely sure about the details.

She had only gathered bits of information from a conversation between Violet and Claire.

It seemed that Evan was under a lot of pressure since he had to participate in this year's national competition.

In the end, he could only push forward with intense training.

That also meant the Pokémon consumed more energy.

Evan didn't think too much about it. Since Violet needed more Pokéblocks, he would simply prepare them for her.

"It's not a problem. It can be done in two days."

"I understand. I'll make them for her tomorrow.

"But for today, let's focus on making Fighting- and Ghost-type Pokéblocks first."

"Marshadow, come out."

"Let me introduce you to everyone."

Evan called out Marshadow without hesitation.

He had no intention of keeping it a secret.

After all, Marshadow would be living here from now on. It was better to introduce it in advance; otherwise, this little Pokémon might end up startling people with its odd behavior.

Marshadow was a timid and shy Pokémon.

It would likely stay hidden in the shadows most of the time.

Unless someone called for it, it probably wouldn't show itself.

To prevent it from becoming a complete shadow dweller, Evan decided to introduce it to everyone properly.

As soon as they heard Evan's call, everyone froze.

Marshadow?

Was he serious?

Everyone knew exactly what kind of Pokémon Marshadow was.

Back in school, they had been taught about every known Pokémon, both domestic and foreign.

From common Pokémon to Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, everything recorded had been covered in their lessons.

Of course, they knew Marshadow.

It was a Mythical Pokémon—something that only appeared in books.

And now, Evan was saying he had one?

The group stared at him in confusion.

Then, Evan's shadow trembled slightly.

A moment later, half of Marshadow's body emerged from it, revealing itself to everyone.

Their eyes widened in shock.

"This..."

"Evan, did you really catch a Marshadow?"

Isla was stunned.

This was a Mythical Pokémon!

And Evan had actually caught one?

Rosa, standing beside her, was just as shocked.

This was her first time seeing a real Mythical Pokémon.

Evan nodded.

"Yeah, I went out just for this little guy."

"From now on, it will be living here with us."

"Marshadow is timid and shy, so try not to startle it."

"And if you notice snacks disappearing, don't assume we have a thief."

Everyone, now coming back to their senses, nodded quickly.

"This is unbelievable."

"It's really Marshadow?"

Rosa was still in awe. She crouched down, wanting to say hello to the little Pokémon.

But in the next moment, Marshadow dived straight into the shadows, leaving only its glowing eyes visible.

Rosa was speechless.

"You really are timid."

She stood up, looking at Evan with curiosity.

How had he managed to catch a Marshadow?

Was this its usual personality?

How interesting.

Rosa felt like she had come to the right place.

"Anyway, let's start making the Pokéblocks for Marshadow first."

"Isla, Daniel, have your Scyther come help process these berries."

"Rosa... give me a hand too."

Following Evan's instructions, everyone got to work.

By now, Isla's and Daniel's Scyther had become expert berry processors.

All sorts of berries were prepared by them with incredible skill.

If one sniffed the air, they could pick up a faint, sweet fragrance.

The aroma only got richer over time.

Even now, as the Scyther worked outside the breeding house, a group of Pokémon began gathering around them.

The scent was simply too tempting—it smelled delicious.
