At this moment, Rosa was a little confused.

Goodra, who had just been released, was also puzzled.

Neither of them understood why Evan had asked such a question.

"It's like this," Evan began. "My Dragonite is a male, but he needs a mate."

He looked at Rosa expectantly. "So, how about introducing your Goodra to my Dragonite?"

Dragonite, who had been focused on cooking, froze upon hearing this.

It raised its head and looked at Evan.

Finding a mate… for me?

Hmm… why does that sound so exciting?

Dragonite's fondness for Evan skyrocketed at that moment.

Its eyes turned to Goodra, and when it saw her, they suddenly lit up.

Because it knew—this was a female Dragon-type.

Rosa stared at Evan in disbelief.

"This… she's female, yes," she admitted. "But shouldn't Goodra decide for herself?"

"I believe in free choice," Rosa continued, a little shy as she spoke. "How about we let them make their own decision?"

What was this, matchmaking for their own Pokémon?

It felt so strange…

Yet, at the same time, Rosa couldn't deny that the idea intrigued her.

She was curious about how strong the offspring of these two Pokémon might be.

'Goo?'

Goodra looked at her Trainer, suddenly flustered.

Was her Trainer seriously considering this?

She glanced at Dragonite.

What a powerful Dragon…

Not bad.

Dragonite's excitement grew when he saw Goodra looking his way.

Eagerly, he channeled his energy and offered her some food, a clear invitation.

Evan watched the scene unfold, momentarily stunned.

They're getting along already?

Wow.

Respect, old man.

To be this proactive…

Evan silently gave Dragonite a thumbs-up.

Neither Rosa nor Evan interfered, allowing their Pokémon to handle things themselves.

If these two Dragons truly fell for each other, who knew what the future might hold?

Maybe, just maybe… there would be eggs.

However, breeding Dragon-type Pokémon—especially pseudo-legendaries—was no easy feat.

That was why they were so rare.

With the Pokémon matter settled for now, Evan joined Rosa and the others for dinner.

Gallade and Lucario had already set the table, and after finishing their preparations, they went off to enjoy their own energy cubes.

Rosa observed all of this and curiously asked,

"You have Lucario cooking? Didn't Violet have anything to say about that?"

"She'd probably complain, right?" Rosa's expression was subtle, as if unsure what to make of it.

Running a breeding house like this… was that really okay?

Evan waved a hand dismissively. "Nah, it's fine. She knows about it."

"Besides, this is training for Lucario," he explained.

"Let me tell you—Lucario wasn't this strong when he got here. He's improved so much just by being here."

"And anyway, he's only cooking for me temporarily," Evan added. "He's also teaching Gallade in the process."

"He's a mentor, see?"

"So what's the problem?"

"Violet sees her Pokémon getting stronger, so she doesn't really care," Evan concluded confidently.

Rosa nodded in understanding.

She didn't think too much more about it and simply focused on her meal.

She ate quietly, chewing slowly and savoring the food.

By the time Evan had finished eating, she still had some left.

Leaving her to eat at her own pace, Evan stood up and wandered toward the orchard.

Some Pokémon that had just finished eating were basking in the sun nearby.

As Evan approached, they greeted him one by one.

He smiled and waved in return.

As he observed the Pokémon, he was surprised to realize something—their strength had noticeably improved.

Thinking back, Evan quickly understood why.

For quite some time now, Isla and the others had been making energy cubes, and all the ones deemed "unqualified" were eaten by these Pokémon.

Even though some were low-quality, many of them were still intermediate-tier cubes.

And while they weren't perfect, they still enhanced attributes.

Not to mention, Evan had made sure that Isla and the others tailored their energy cubes to the attributes of the Pokémon in the breeding house.

There was no waste—everything was consumed.

After eating intermediate energy cubes for so long, combined with the physical activity of helping around the place, the Pokémon had naturally gotten stronger.

That explained why some of them had evolved.

Woof woof woof!

Evan's thoughts were interrupted as several Growlithe suddenly charged toward him.

They playfully pounced around, full of energy.

Evan turned to look at the little Fire-types.

He could sense their strength.

The ones born earlier had already reached the intermediate level, and some were close to advancing further.

Unlike wild Pokémon, these Growlithe were raised with a proper feeding regimen.

Evan had been giving them intermediate energy cubes, and in the future, they would even receive high-tier energy cubes.

Their growth was promising.

It was inevitable that their strength would improve.

Whether they could reach that level, however, depended entirely on themselves.

Evan glanced at the young Growlithe and began making calculations in his mind.

Once they reached the advanced level, they could evolve.

The Fire Stones were already prepared.

After making a mental note of this, Evan continued walking toward the back mountain.

Upon reaching the orchard, he noticed that some of the berries had begun to ripen.

Many had already been blown to the ground by the wind.

From time to time, Beedrill could be seen patrolling the area.

After a period of steady growth, the berry trees had already reached two meters in height.

It was likely they would grow even taller in time.

The arrival of Grass-type Pokémon had accelerated their growth significantly.

With abundant nutrients, these berries were maturing much faster than usual.

After surveying the orchard, Evan felt that it was time to start a second round of planting.

He could continue expanding into the back mountains.

His goal was to cover the entire back hill with berry trees.

However, since many wild Pokémon lived in the area, the process would have to be gradual.

If all the existing trees in the back mountain were removed at once, it would disrupt the local Pokémon's habitat.

Now that the lower orchards had reached a stable level of growth, further expansion could begin.

If any Pokémon had built nests in the area, they could simply be relocated to the orchard.

Pokémon preferred nesting either at the base of trees or within their branches.

With a new place for them to settle, there shouldn't be any major issues.

With that decision made, Evan began surveying the next planting area.

When the time came, he would simply discuss it with the Pokémon living there and help them relocate.

Then, the Ground-type Pokémon could assist with the planting process.
