Victor sighed, shaking his head. "Young Lady, this isn't betrayal. We only wanted to ensure your safety and keep you on the right path. I respectfully wish to make sure you're protected."
Diane smirked, but there was no amusement in her expression. "You really are something, Victor."

She straightened her posture, her mind clouded with thoughts. Though she hated it, she had no choice but to accept reality.
Ignoring Vonn would make her a hypocrite.
