Kill, also known as the Head Evaluator for Tomorrow's Hope—or the Hunter—was casually waiting in his office. Evaluating was a tiring job, especially when changes needed to be made.
In the past, Tomorrow's Hope always had a flaw—there was never a truly strong contender. The winner always triumphed through sheer determination, chance, or luck, which wasn't enough. One shouldn't rely solely on determination; they needed the confidence to win every battle, even when at a disadvantage.
The optimistic Hunter wanted to change that. He wanted strong contenders. That was why he now personally attended evaluations—to ensure that even if the evaluator was defeated, he would step in and add some spice to the battle.
Either win or be defeated. That was all he wanted in the evaluation.
With the battle in Chimera, it didn't matter if someone won by luck—the first evaluation test had already filtered out the unworthy.
