WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP IS THIS? CHAPTER.2 [ THE HIT OF ROMANCES ]
As the weeks passed, the school buzzed with excitement over the upcoming annual festival. Clubs worked tirelessly to make it a memorable event, knowing it would be the last for many graduating students.
But for Anorbo, the festival was just another reminder of his isolation. Despite three years of trying, he had failed to make friends. His days felt like an endless loop of emptiness, and even the fleeting glimpses of Rena during class offered little solace.
On the day of the festival, Anorbo wandered away from the lively crowds, seeking refuge under a tree far from the festivities. The quiet rustling of leaves was his only companion—until he heard a familiar voice.
He turned and saw Rena, sitting on the other side of the tree, talking on the phone. Her usual composure was gone. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to stifle sobs.
Anorbo couldn't hear her words, but the sight of her crying pierced his heart. She wiped her tears with trembling hands, but the pain in her expression was unmistakable. Whatever she had heard on that call had shattered her.
After ending the call, she broke down, crying loudly. The festival's noise drowned out her sorrow, leaving her alone in her anguish.
Anorbo wanted to comfort her, but he hesitated. As a student, he felt it was inappropriate to approach her, let alone touch her. Yet, his heart ached to ease her pain.
Suddenly, Rena's sobs subsided. She took a deep breath and said to herself, "I shouldn't be crying here. There's so much work to do at school."
As she stood to leave, she noticed Anorbo staring at her. His expression was one of deep concern, like a child witnessing their mother in pain.
Realizing he had seen everything, Rena wiped her face and said, "Don't worry about me. These things happen in life. But why are you here, Anorbo? Shouldn't you be enjoying the festival with everyone else?"
Anorbo blinked, took a deep breath, and finally said, "Teacher… for the past three years, I've wanted to tell you something. I know I shouldn't feel this way as a student, but I can't help it. I… I think I've fallen in love with you."
His words hung in the air like a forbidden melody.
Rena was stunned. She wanted to reject his feelings, to tell him that it was wrong. But her heart wavered. The sincerity in his eyes and the courage in his voice stirred something deep within her. She felt as though an invisible rope of emotions held her in place.
Overwhelmed, she began to cry again. But this time, her tears weren't for pain or heartbreak—they were for love and happiness.
This wasn't sorrow. This was something new.

Whatever had broken her that day, it unknowingly became the reason they found each other. Their meeting under that tree, amidst the noise of a festival, became the silent bond that tied their fates together.
And though their story began with sadness, it ended with hope and the possibility of love.
