Ch.17 Journey In Motion(2)

In the forest filled with giant birch trees, you can see a large opening in the middle of the forest. A crystal clear pond filled with water rests in the middle of that opening.

Thousands of rabbits gather around as they drink water without a care in the world, after all, they are the apex predator in the area.

So there is really no one they need to fear.

Except....

A pair of red eyes shine from the darkness as they look at the group of rabbits with cold gaze. One can see concealed killing intent filling those eyes.

Then with the sound of something being gripped a red light flashed as the one on the eyes rushed toward the group of rabbits.

Blood rained as hundreds of rabbits' heads rose to the sky and the group of rabbits was startled.

They looked in all directions to find the culprit but didn't find anything.

Unknown to the same pair of red eyes were staring at them from the other side of the jungle.

So with another red flash hundreds more heads fell to the ground as the green grass was dyed red with blood.

More flashes of red light came as the hunter moved with inhumane speed, each movement causing the death of a group of rabbits.

Finally, only a lone survivor was left as it looked at the terrifying scene in front of it with intense fear in its eyes.

"Oh, even beasts feel fear."

A cold voice rang out as a flash of red light appeared in front of the terrified rabbit, the figure in red stopped in front of the rabbit.

Finally, the rabbit saw the killer that brought this carnage.

A figure of a beautiful woman covered from head to toe in red color,... no not red color but blood.. blood of all the dead rabbits.

Her red blood eyes looked at the rabbit with indifference, as blood dripped down her face.

A dagger the size of a short sword was held in her hand, it gave an intense smell of blood as it shined with a crimson glow.

Seeing the terrified rabbit not moving in front of her she wiped out the blood from her head with one smooth motion.

With the layer of crimson gone her deep black hair was revealed as that hair devoured light itself.

"I really need a bath."

She muttered to herself as her attention turned toward the terrified rabbit, with a sigh she did a clean swipe as its head fell down.

"I am getting sick of these rabbits."

She complained as she jumped into the pond, as her body touched the water the water turned crimson and she gently wiped all the blood off from her body.

"Haaa... I wonder when I will meet Nexus."

She... No Noir muttered as she looked at the sky with nine suns hanging above her head.

Baaaaa... Fussssss!!

A flash of white light came from the forest as it collided with the pond where Noir was bathing.

BOOM!

With an intense sound, the ground near the pond collapsed as smoke rose from there covering the view.

"Can't even let a lady bath in peace."

Noir said in an irritated voice from the side as she had escaped from the range of attack with her speed.

She gently squeezed her long hair as the water dripped down, plus due to her clothes being wet her figure was clearly shown.

A D-class melon plus her streamlined and muscular figure she can get most men's blood pumping.

But alas there was no one here to witness such a divine scene.

Well except her attacker.

"RAAAAAAAA!!!!"

With a roar the cloud of dust was blown away as a figure of a rabbit the size of an average man appeared.

It had white fur stained with blood as it stood on its two legs. With cold bloodthirsty eyes, it looked at the figure of Noir wishing to devour her.

"Haa...Not you again"

Noir sighed as her body tensed up and then with a burst of speed she ran toward the forest, there was no way she was fighting this beast.

"RAAAAAAA"

The big rabbit also roared as it hit the ground with its two legs and accelerated toward the direction where Noir had run away.

Both of them were running so fast that only flashes of their figure could be seen making a trail of light.

The ground rumbled as the big rabbit accelerated again, its speed doubled as it ran at thrice the speed of sound.

The rabbit was catching up to Noir and if this remained then there was no way Noir could escape from its clutches.

Suddenly Noir made a 90-degree turn as her figure was hidden by the tree, and then by a miracle she disappeared.

The rabbit arrived there but didn't find her figure, thinking that she had run away it rushed deeper into the forest.

After a minute or so the figure of Noir appeared from the darkness.

"That bas#ard.. I will hunt him one day."

Noir scolded as she opened the chat window, opening the newly added map feature she looked at her destination.

It was more or less 8000 kilometers away from her position and was slowly moving toward her direction.

That dot, or her destination was the position of Nexus.

It was the feature through which one could check the position of their friends, so Noir and Nexus made plans to meet together.

Nexus also thought about meeting Chen as they were on the same continent, but looking at the distance of seventy thousand kilometers he gave up.

"I wonder how long it will take for us to meet."

"Hmm"

"Also let's see if that fox is as cute as you say."

Thinking of his pet Noir couldn't help but remember her special that she had thrown away. Well, she doesn't regret it per se but it would have been nice for her to have something in common with Nexus.

"Anyway...."

"Keep your neck clean for my dagger."

She muttered with a smile on her face as she looked at the sky covered with leaves.

With the rustling of the wind, the branches moved as she was covered in darkness and she disappeared in that darkness.
