"The black short sword..."
I originally intended to study the effects of that short sword carefully, but now I've managed to lose it.
Though I feel a bit regretful, it doesn't matter much—such things were never of great importance.
In the ruins of the Sky Courtyard, the smoke from the wreckage still lingered in the air. The debris of battleships shimmered faintly like scattered stars, reflecting the somber grandeur of a battlefield just destroyed. Although the smoke of battle had nearly dissipated, amidst the fading echoes of the clash, a silver-haired female angel had descended before us once more. Her luminous wings continued to shine in the darkness, spreading an almost surreal sense of calm in that instant.
After a brief moment of concern, the angel approached Savoen and me. Her divine gaze swept over Savoen's figure, revealing a trace of worry. I turned my head to observe and noticed something I hadn't seen before—a deep wound on her shoulder, its bloodstains hidden beneath the dust of battle.
The angel extended her hand gently, touching the wound. Warm light emanated from her fingertips, like healing waters, soothing Savoen's pain. Her voice was as tender as a spring breeze, carrying an almost magical power to heal the soul.
"Are you alright? That wound looks serious."
Savoen forced a faint smile, though her eyes betrayed fatigue and resilience.
"This is just a scratch; it's nothing serious."
Her voice carried a defiant strength, though she indeed seemed uncomfortable.
The angel didn't seem entirely convinced. Her gaze lingered on the wound for a moment, as if evaluating its severity. Then she straightened herself, slowly raised her hand, and summoned a radiant glow. The light enveloped Savoen's wound, its warmth and sanctity seeping in, rapidly healing the edges of the injury.
In the glow's embrace, Savoen's expression softened, the stubbornness in her eyes replaced by a hint of gratitude.
"Thank you..."
The angel's expression relaxed, a gentle smile curving her lips in satisfaction.
She then turned her gaze to me, her wings fluttering lightly, as if hinting at something else.
"The cosmic warship you encountered earlier belonged to a notorious faction of interstellar pirates. Your bravery not only thwarted their raid but also contributed to the safety of the entire universe. The [Ethereal Court] has completely destroyed all incoming warships, so you can rest easy now."
As her figure began to fade, the angel bowed gracefully before us.
"Please continue to wait for Lord Ayush's return."
