Nova Ashbourne carefully examined his status. His Mental Power stood out as significantly higher than his other attributes—unsurprising, given his unique Wish ability.

However, his Strength, Defense, and Agility were all above average human, a testament to the intense physical training he underwent even before awakening his past-life memories.

The peak physical limit for a normal human through sheer training capped at 20, and he had yet to reach that threshold. Anything beyond that would be stepping into superhuman territory.

Unlike many other mutants and superhumans in this world, Nova did not possess any special energy sources like magic, divine energy, psionic force, or cosmic energy. This meant that while his mutant power was extraordinary in concept, he lacked the additional supernatural reserves that many powerful beings relied upon. He had to depend solely on his mutant ability and his own physical and mental fortitude to survive in this dangerous world.

Thinking about his past, he let out a deep sigh. It had been twenty years since his reincarnation into the Marvel Universe and two weeks since he awakened his past-life memories, his X-gene, and his cheat-like ability-System. The trigger for these awakenings had been a tragedy—his parents' deaths in an accident. That devastating event had shattered something deep within him, unlocking both his hidden past memories and his latent mutant genes.

When his memories returned, an overwhelming sense of fear gripped him, when he got to know that he is in Marvel universe. He had enjoyed Marvel movies in his previous life but had never read the comics, meaning his knowledge was limited and incomplete.

Worse, this world wasn't a perfect copy of the MCU or any other established timeline. He recognized elements of Stark Industries, Captain America, and mutant activity, yet many key events had not taken place. Apart from Captain America's well-known exploits, no other major events had unfolded. This unknown timeline made everything even more unpredictable.

As for mutants, the situation was vastly different from what he remembered from the movies. There were three dominant mutant factions in America, each balancing the power dynamics.

The first was Xavier's School for Gifted Children, led by Charles Xavier, a man known for his dream of peaceful human-mutant coexistence. However, in this world, Xavier was more ruthless than the one Nova recalled.

The second faction was the Brotherhood of Mutants, commanded by Magneto, advocating for mutant superiority.

The third was the Hellfire Club, ruled by the enigmatic Black King, Sebastian Shaw, a shadowy organization with a mix of mutant elitism, political influence, and hidden agendas.

These three factions existed in a delicate triangular balance, ensuring that mutants weren't as persecuted as in some versions of the Marvel Universe.

Even Charles Xavier wasn't as merciful in this timeline—his X-Men and Magneto's Brotherhood had collaborated to raid countless secret laboratories, freeing captured mutants subjected to inhumane experiments. Their actions had sent a clear warning to those who sought to exploit their kind.

Even the government treaded carefully when dealing with mutants. In the past, a politician had attempted to spread false information and frame a mutant with fabricated criminal charges. The very next day, the man was found mentally broken, declared insane, and committed to a mental hospital. While Xavier publicly denied involvement, no one—aside from the gullible public—believed him. Similar events happened to all those behind the scenes running cruel experiments on humans.

This incident alone established that crossing mutants had severe consequences, leading to a world where they were still feared but not openly discriminated against. No politician wanted to risk spending the rest of their life in a mental ward after opposing mutant rights.

Once Nova finished sorting through his past-life memories and completing his parents' funeral proceedings, he finally turned his attention to understanding his system and mutant ability.

His mutant power was called 'WISH', an ability that functioned as a form of reality warping—but with an infuriating catch. Unlike other reality warpers who could freely alter reality to suit their desires, Nova's ability only worked by granting the wishes of others. Worse, he gained nothing in return for fulfilling those wishes.

This restriction angered him immensely. What was the point of such an overpowered ability if he couldn't use it for himself?

The sheer potential of his power was undeniable. If left unchecked, it could be world-altering. However, the fact that he couldn't wish for his own benefit meant he had to be careful how and when he used it.

Fortunately, his cheat ability—The Multiverse Trade & Contract System—counterbalanced the frustrating limitations of his Wish power. When his past-life memories awakened, so did this system, granting him access to a mysterious multiversal trading System.

The function of this system was basic in concept but held immense potential. Every year, he would be given the opportunity to make a deal with one randomly selected person from the multiverse, which will increase based on his trader teir. This person could be anyone—a hero, a villain, an ordinary person, or even a cosmic entity—from any world. The system itself would decide the individual, meaning Nova had no control over who he would encounter.

Through this system, he could propose a deal, whether it was trading items, knowledge, abilities, or something else entirely. If the deal was successfully completed, that person's world would be anchored, allowing Nova to make future trades with other individuals from that same universe. This meant that as time passed and more worlds were anchored, his network of potential trade partners would continue to expand, granting him access to countless different abilities, technologies, and resources.

However, there was another limitation—one that prevented unethical exploitation. The system strictly enforced fairness. Any deal or contract he made had to be equal and fair for both parties. This meant he could not manipulate or deceive others into making one-sided deals that only benefited him. While this restriction eliminated the possibility of abusing loopholes, it also meant he had to be creative in how he structured his trades.

Additionally, traveling to these anchored worlds was not immediately possible. Even if he successfully made a deal with ten different individuals from a single universe, he could only enter that world if at least five of them granted him permission. This made gaining trust a crucial factor in expanding his reach across the multiverse.

Despite these restrictions, the Multiverse Trade & Contract System was still an incredible advantage. If used wisely, it could provide him with powerful allies, rare knowledge, unique abilities, and advanced technology—all without the dangers of direct conflict. However, Nova knew that random selection meant he could end up dealing with anyone, including dangerous or unpredictable figures. The risks were high, but so were the rewards.

With both his Wish ability and the Multiverse Trade & Contract System, Nova found himself at a crossroads. He had been given two powerful yet restrictive abilities, each with immense potential. One allowed him to alter reality but only for others, while the other gave him access to infinite worlds but with strict trade rules. If he wanted to survive and thrive in this dangerous Marvel Universe, he would need to master both abilities, forge strategic alliances, and carefully plan each move.

The Marvel Universe was filled with cosmic entities, mutant factions, advanced civilizations, and godlike beings. If he wanted to carve out his place in this world, he would have to play his cards right—or risk being swept away by the sheer power of the forces around him.
