The training room door opened, and Fu Hua dragged an utterly exhausted Kiana out. Upon seeing Rita among the group, Fu Hua raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Though exhausted, Kiana caught the aroma of cookies in the air. She suddenly stood up and, eyes shining, stared at the cookies in Mei and Fu Shi's hands.
Then, realizing what had happened, she puffed up her cheeks and pointed at the group indignantly. "I was getting beaten up inside, and you're all out here eating snacks? Where's the justice? Where's the law?"
------------------------------
"It seems Kiana still has some strength left, so let's continue." After taking a sip of water, Fu Hua pulled Kiana back into the training room, gaining a new level of respect for Kiana's resilience.
"Squad leader Fu Hua, I can't go on anymore, let me rest for a bit!" Kiana clung to Mei's leg, looking at Fu Hua with utter despair. Under Fu Hua's training, both her spirit and body endured unprecedented torment.
"Old Antique, you should take a break too and eat some biscuits to recover your energy." Fu Shi hopped out of Mei's arms and handed Fu Hua a spicy "Homu"-shaped biscuit.
"Alright…"
"Fu Shi, you…"
Fu Hua took the biscuit, and as the spicy aroma hit her nose, she forced herself to eat it while glancing at Fu Shi's expectant face.
As the biscuit dissolved in her mouth, a surge of spiciness spread across her tongue, making her face slightly flush. Looking at Fu Shi, who was giggling mischievously, Fu Hua felt a bit helpless.
Fu Shi, curious about the spicy flavor, asked, "Cough! Old Antique, how does it taste?"
Finishing the biscuit, Fu Hua replied, "It's not bad. It even clears the mind a bit."
"Kiana, do you want to try one too?" Fu Shi approached Kiana, offering another biscuit.
Kiana took the biscuit and, without hesitation, swallowed it in one bite. Her face quickly turned red as she stuck out her tongue and shouted, "Water! Give me water!"
Mei handed Kiana a water bottle. As Kiana emptied it, she held her mouth, teary-eyed, and exclaimed, "Why is this biscuit so spicy?"
"Because it's made by drying Carolina Reaper peppers, grinding them into powder, mixing them with starch in a one-to-one ratio, and then baking them."
"Looks like I need to tweak the recipe. Next time, I'll try ghost peppers; it might be even better."
Rita explained while taking notes in a small notebook, her lips curving slightly as she glanced at Kiana's flushed face.
Hearing Rita's suggestion, Fu Hua quickly interjected, "I think regular peppers will suffice."
"Old Antique, who's going to finish the rest of these spicy biscuits?" Fu Shi looked at the remaining biscuits in the bag. She had already eaten the Homu and Homei shapes, leaving only a pile of red spicy ones.
...
As laughter filled the air, a little blonde-haired, green-eyed boy peeked into the room. Seeing Theresa not fretting over the reduction of her pocket money, he let out a sigh of relief.
When Otto looked inside again, he saw Theresa and the others standing right in front of him. Startled, he stumbled back a few steps and fell to the ground.
Fu Hua glanced thoughtfully at Otto on the floor. What was he doing here in such a childlike form? Was it for Kiana?
But with just him and Rita, there was no way they could take Kiana from her hands…
Theresa helped Otto up, her expression kind and gentle as she asked, "Little boy, how did you get into St. Freya? Can you tell big sis?"
Kiana rubbed her chin, eyeing the blonde-haired, green-eyed Otto. "Auntie, this guy looks familiar. Doesn't he kinda resemble the Overseer of Schicksal?"
Theresa studied Otto closely and nodded in agreement. "He does look a bit like Grandpa."
Otto, sweating profusely, glanced nervously at Fu Hua, who stood silently in the background, and then cast a pleading look at Rita.
Rita, noticing his signal, stepped forward to help him up. "Young Master, why are you here? I thought you were staying on the ship."
Theresa looked at Rita with suspicion. "Young Master?"
"Rita, why does he look so much like Grandpa?"
"Well..." Rita glanced at Otto, unsure how to explain, leaving it to him.
"...The Overseer of Schicksal is my father. Show some respect when you see me!" Otto crossed his arms, puffing up his chest with an air of arrogance.
Rita added, "He's a clone created by the Overseer using his own genes. You can call him..."
Otto finished the sentence, "...Joyce Apocalypse."
Everyone, "..."
"Pfft! Hahaha, I'm dying! Joyce, hahahaha, I can't take it, my stomach hurts from laughing." Fu Shi collapsed into Fu Hua's arms, pounding on her chest while laughing uncontrollably.
If Welt were here, he might've needed ten Star of Eden blasts to feel avenged.
