Chapter 367: You don’t get it at all!

Standing to the side, Kiana couldn't help but mutter quietly,

"Mei, the other you suddenly seems super hostile to the class prez. What's going on?"

Hearing Kiana's words, Mei quickly shook her head.

"I... I'm not sure either."

Bronya rubbed her chin thoughtfully and said, "Based on Bronya's years of experience, it seems this Mei☆ sister misunderstood something because of Fu Shi's presence—and mistook the class president for a love rival."

Theresa lay sprawled out on the bed like a salted fish, limbs splayed in all directions, clutching a Homu's Great Adventure comic tightly in her right hand.

When she saw the group entering the room, she glanced over listlessly, then calmly picked up a glass of bitter melon juice from the table, took a small sip, and asked nonchalantly,

"Why are you all back so soon? How's that big fat bird?" "Quack quack quack!!!!"

As soon as it heard Theresa call it a "fat bird," Black Kite immediately started chirping furiously, as if voicing a fierce protest.

Theresa frowned, irritated, and reached up to dig at her ear, saying impatiently, "Where did this bald, stinky thing come from? Get it out of here! It's seriously ruining my mood!"

Fu Hua pushed up her glasses and, looking at the energetic and lively Black Kite, showed an expression that suggested she couldn't bear to look directly at it. She turned her head and explained to Theresa,

"Headmistress, this is Black Kite, the pet raised by Fu Shi. Apart from losing some feathers, it doesn't seem to have any major issues..."

Before she could finish, Theresa exclaimed in surprise, "...Huh? You're saying this ugly thing is that big fat bird?"

Her face lit up with curiosity as she studied the unsightly Black Kite like it was some novel creature.

Then she pointed directly at Black Kite, unable to hold back a laugh, "Hahaha... so ugly!"

However, the next moment, something unexpected happened. Black Kite suddenly lunged and bit down on Theresa's finger with its sharp beak.

Theresa screamed, her voice tinged with pain, "Ah! Let go of me!"

She flailed her arm desperately, trying to shake Black Kite off, but the bird held on tightly, refusing to release her finger no matter how hard she struggled.

Seeing Theresa in such a disheveled state, Fu Lin could barely suppress a laugh and said, "You fat bird, let go of her already. It's just a little bald spot. Stop yelling—if you behave, I can help your feathers grow back."

Black Kite seemed to understand. Its eyes suddenly lit up, and it released Theresa's finger at once.

Then it turned to look at Fu Lin with hopeful, gleaming eyes, as if to ask,

"Quack quack quack?" Really?

Black Kite then let out a series of eager cries,

"Quack quack quack quack?" Can you really make my feathers grow back?

In response to Black Kite's skepticism, Fu Lin patted his chest and replied confidently,

"Of course, guaranteed!"

As soon as Fu Lin finished speaking, a faint light began to glow in his palm.

Then, he gently picked up Black Kite, his face filled with satisfaction, and even rubbed his cheek against it, murmuring softly,

"Haha, I finally get to touch it! This fluffy feeling is amazing~"

Hearing Fu Lin's words, Black Kite thought he was lying and began to struggle, but when it saw new feathers sprouting from its bare patches, it quickly quieted down.

The new feathers grew at an incredible speed, soon completely covering the previously exposed skin, restoring Black Kite to its former majestic, imposing appearance.

Looking at its proud and dashing self again, Black Kite was overjoyed and flapped its wings excitedly, trying to break free from Fu Lin's arms.

But it was no use. Fu Lin held on tightly, not letting go at all.

"You think you can just leave? Did you ask for my permission?"

Fu Lin's lips curled into a mischievous smile, his eyes full of teasing intent.

After witnessing the miraculous regrowth of Black Kite's feathers, Theresa's mouth twitched as she asked suspiciously,

"So it really is that fat chicken... but who made it end up like that?"

"Ta-da—!"

Still holding Black Kite, Fu Lin pointed behind him at Mei☆.

Looking at Mei☆, who looked exactly like Mei but more mature, a flash of insight crossed Theresa's eyes as if she had just uncovered a great secret.

With a serious expression, she asked, "Could this be... Mei's mom?"

Mei☆ said nothing, while the real Mei stood off to the side, looking awkward and unsure of how to respond.

Fu Hua sighed and facepalmed, and Fu Lin paused what he was doing. The entire scene fell into a strange silence, as if time had frozen.

Just then, a burst of laughter rang out. Fu Shi turned away, covering her mouth with one hand, trying hard to suppress her giggles.

But she couldn't hold it in and let out a "Pfft...!"

Seeing this, Theresa looked confused, scratched her head, and asked, "Did I say something wrong? Why are you all reacting like this?"

At that moment, Himeko quickly jumped in, "Headmistress, how could she be Mei's mom? If you ask me, she's probably Mei's aunt."

Hearing this, Theresa nodded in realization and muttered to herself, "Oh, I see. That makes sense."

'You don't get it at all!'

Fu Lin couldn't help but complain in his heart, shaking his head helplessly, thinking that sometimes, Theresa was just too adorable.

So Fu Lin decided to explain everything himself to avoid further misunderstanding. He cleared his throat and began to explain seriously...
