Chapter 371: What do I do, my other self is way too domineering? Urgent.

Meanwhile, Fu Shi lay peacefully on the bed, limbs spread out like a starfish. If she knew Mei☆ had her sights set on her, she'd probably laugh even in her dreams.

As her thoughts unfolded, a vague plan began to take shape in Mei☆'s mind.

She took a deep breath, then gently patted Fu Shi's shoulder and said softly,

"Fu Shi, time to get up. The sun's almost baking your butt!"

Fu Shi rubbed her eyes, looking dazedly at Mei☆, her face full of confusion.

Mei☆ smiled faintly, thinking to herself, "Coaxing kids seems easy enough..."

--------------------------------------

Fu Shi slowly sat up, groggily scratched her head, and her gaze fell on the kind and gentle-looking Mei☆ in front of her. She asked in confusion,

"Where's Fu Lin?"

Seeing Fu Shi awake, Mei☆ smiled happily. She gently reached out, trying to pull Fu Shi into her arms.

However, Fu Shi pushed Mei☆'s hand away without hesitation and looked at her with a wary gaze.

Faced with Fu Shi's resistance, Mei☆ didn't get angry. She continued to smile and softly replied, "Fu Lin went to teach class. I'll keep you company today."

Fu Shi jumped off the bed, stretched her body thoroughly, and let out a big, satisfied yawn.

Then, with her short legs, Fu Shi walked straight toward the door, made a funny face at Mei☆, and mumbled,

"Oh, then I'm leaving first. Auntie Mei, suit yourself."

When Mei☆ heard Fu Shi call her "Auntie" again, her smiling lips froze instantly, and her expression stiffened. But when she saw Fu Shi about to leave through the door, she quickly moved to block her path.

"This little one is still young and doesn't know better. I mustn't take it to heart, not with Fu Lin's child..."

Mei☆ silently comforted herself, then crouched down to meet Fu Shi's eyes and said as gently as she could,

"Fu Shi, be good. Have breakfast first before you go play, okay?"

Fu Shi seemed a bit surprised and froze for a moment, but quickly dodged Mei's hand and ran out the door without looking back, shouting as she went,

"Not eating! I'm going to find the old antique!"

"Sigh, she really is Fu Lin's child. Such a headache."

Mei☆ bit her thumb helplessly, watching Fu Shi's figure disappear into the distance, a trace of unwillingness on her face.

It was obvious that trying to start with Fu Shi would be the choice Mei☆ would regret the most.

Time flew by...

"Ugh~ Class is so exhausting~ That damn Fu Lin, only knows how to pick on me for questions."

Kiana mumbled as she listlessly pushed the door open, feeling utterly drained.

After finally returning... to Fu Lin's dorm, she perked up at the aroma of food wafting through the air. Her dull eyes suddenly lit up.

She quickly leaned in toward Mei☆ and, seeing the feast on the table, was so excited she almost cried out,

"Smells amazing~"

Mei☆ ignored her and continued working on her tasks.

Just then, Mei☆ suddenly stopped what she was doing and grabbed Kiana's sneaky hand. She glanced at her with a look that clearly spelled warning.

Caught red-handed, Kiana panicked slightly. She quickly pulled her hand back and stammered,

"I-I wasn't trying to steal food… I was just checking how the dishes turned out…"

But before she could finish, the sound of the door opening interrupted her.

The door opened again, and Fu Lin walked in. He immediately heard Kiana's voice and his face turned expressionless.

Fu Lin walked straight over to Kiana, dragged her out of the kitchen, and said bluntly,

"You dumb paramecium, completely hopeless. All you do is eat every day. You already forgot what I taught in the last class!"

Kiana looked aggrieved at Fu Lin's words. She lowered her head, fiddled with her fingers, and mumbled,

"Sorry… I didn't mean to… I really tried… but I just can't remember..."

Fu Lin criticized sternly,

"Try? You mean sleeping during class?"

Hearing this, Kiana couldn't hold back and shouted in frustration,

"Why do we have to study such a boring subject like history anyway!"

Just then, Mei slowly walked in from outside. Her gaze fell on Kiana, and she sighed helplessly before turning toward the other version of herself who was still cooking.

Mei spoke softly,

"Need a hand? I can help you."

However, the cooking Mei☆ refused without a second thought,

"Thanks, but no need. I can handle it just fine."

Mei's face turned awkward. She silently withdrew her hand and stared at the busy version of herself, momentarily at a loss for words.

After hesitating for a moment, Mei finally decided to turn and leave the kitchen.

However, just as she was about to step out, Mei☆ suddenly seemed to remember something and said,

"You'd better keep an eye on your Kiana. If she causes trouble for Fu Lin again, I'll be more than happy to discipline her for you."

Mei froze in her tracks and turned around, only to see her other self radiating a terrifying aura, as if the entire space had been engulfed by it.

Mei stayed silent for a long time before slowly replying,

"...Got it."

As Mei finished speaking, the oppressive aura surrounding Mei☆ gradually faded.

Then, Mei☆ smiled faintly and said softly,

"Good. Oh, and help me clean this fish, will you? I'm making a delicious fish soup for Fu Lin later."

Mei, "....." What do I do, my other self is way too domineering. Panic.
