The next day comes, almost too quickly, as the system loud dings wake him up. The system wasted no time activating itself fully.
Already… What time is it?
"4 am!" Cinder cheers floating over to him. "Today your training begins."
Ughhh
Yes, he wanted to train, but his body felt unbearably sluggish. Every movement he made sent a wave of discomfort through him, as if soft, invisible pins were pricking into his muscles with each simple movement.
Why so early?
Legion has always had a dislike for morning in every life he lived, but he knew today was the beginning of training just like the times he spent in the war camp, training to be a top veterinarian and biggest asset to his country.
"Do you want to become stronger or not?" Cinder says, flying over and stopping right in front of him with his usual sassy puff of smoke.
Alright, Alright..
He turns to the side of him where Anore and Avix cuddle together, though it is more of being tangled together but they look more peaceful that way so he leaves them flashing a smile and shifting his potion, hanging his feet off the bed as the system hovers at eye level.
"Oh yeah here!" Cinder plops a potion on his lap. "I stole this." he grins as if he achieved something unachievable. "It's an exhaustion relieving potion."
Shaking his head in disappointment, but still takes it and gulps it down.
How did you even get this? Aren't like a ghost now?
"Yes, but I can still grab things." He huffs, feeling as though Legion was ungrateful of his help. "I helped you just say thank you."
Thank you., Cinder.

So I basically get an avatar for each monster evolution? Which means I'll be able to switch between?
[That's correct, but you would no longer be considered human once you gain beastblood and have the blood of a monster running through you, the system and avatars only change your appearance, if you understand.]
Yes, so on the surface I may look like a human, and I will have the abilities and stuff I gain from the human avatar, but underneath I would be a mixture of different monster races, am I right?
[That's right.]
[May we begin?]
We may.

______________
Air slashes with what-
A wooden sword immediately materialises in the air and drops onto his hands.
[Reward: skill points|5 bronze coins|one mana replenishing potion}
A mana replenishing potion, that's great. I can also practise my magic, and I can use it to give it to someone else. Anyways for now I have to finish off the quest to gain its reward, first I'll start with the air slashes.
Getting off of the bed, he makes his way to the middle of the house and takes in a breath, it's been a while since he had done this, and more so since his body is weak it would be worse than last time he tried it in his first life.
Clenching the sword tightly, he slashes downward with all his might. His entire body lurches forward, and for a moment, he stumbles, barely managing to steady himself before he falls. Even with the exhaustion potion coursing through him, his arms still feel weak—like noodles—compared to his past lives, when he was powerfully built and fit.

[19 more slashes to go]
It counted, but my whole body can't move the next time.
Planting his feet firmly on the ground like his life depended on it, he swings again, lurching forward slightly but not as much as the first time. "Better." He says in between heavy pants.

Sweat trickles down his chin despite the cold air, as he slashes again, with the same unsteady result. One swing after another, he moves the sword in different directions, adjusting his grip and stance, trying to find where he feels comfortable. Each movement is a battle between muscle memory and his weakened body, but he refuses to stop.
[Completed!]
[1.5+ added to Attack]
Finally.
Wasting no time, he lets the sword drop to the floor with a dull thud. As the first light of the sunrise filters through the window, he quickly throws on his coat and heads outside for his run, the cool air hitting his face as he steps into the dawn.
His boots crackling against the crisp snow, and small particles all from the sky, passing through the barriering and entering in.
"How is that happening!" Cinder says, amazed by the small snowflakes.
This type of barrier has to only be stopping mana from getting in and us from getting out.
What a time to be snowing.
Running back with his focus now on the next quest, he begins by jogging at a steady pace, his legs still stiff from the earlier training. As he circles around the village, the rhythmic sound of his footsteps fills the quiet morning air, each stride loosening his muscles, pushing him further into the task ahead.
Then his eyes catch someone by a small, run-down house. He spots Blaise outside, washing clothes, his body wrapped in what looks like tattered rags. The worn fabric clings loosely to him, barely covering half of his exposed chest, while his pants hang low, falling down to his ankles in the same ragged state.
His eyes are pinned on something that isn't there; he's distant and looks dishevelled and confused.
It's like the cold didn't bother him, but why would it after living here for so long? I needed his help, but for now, I'll leave him alone.
He turns and runs off to finish off his task.
