Chapter 177: What? Dual Intelligent Species Occupying?

Zeng Shen watched the white light continuously flowing towards him from the herd, and listened to the notifications ringing in his ears. A sense of joy and enlightenment washed over him.

"Indeed, using this method to bestow the cards significantly transforms the believers' faith."

When the herd below ceased their mooing, Zeng Shen slowly proclaimed, "From now on, this plain shall be named the Funiu Plains, and the central area where the Bovine Leader Wonder resides shall be your territory, the Funiu Ancient Town."

"Moo," the lead cow responded swiftly, and the herd followed with another thunderous moo, as if expressing their gratitude to Zeng Shen.

Satisfied, Zeng Shen smiled and slowly dispersed the massive silhouette, formed by spending a thousand faith points.

He then allowed his consciousness to descend back into his body on Blue Star.

Once back in his body, he turned to Asha, who was resting with her eyes closed in the passenger seat. "Darling, if you're tired, go rest on the couch."

Asha opened her enchanting eyes, which gleamed with a slightly bloodthirsty light from having slaughtered many cows. She looked at Zeng Shen, her enticing lips parting softly, saying, "Master, I'm exhausted from overusing my energy, but the slaughter excited this body, making it hard to rest."

"Perhaps the slaughter awakened some primal instinct in your previous form," Zeng Shen speculated, pausing briefly before suggesting, "I think I have a way to redirect that excitement."

"What way?" Asha asked eagerly.

"Well..." Zeng Shen began, leaving the driver's seat, and gently lifted Asha in a princess carry. "Let's replace that excitement with a different kind of thrill."

With that, Zeng Shen focused, storing his clothes in his backpack space, and carried Asha, who did the same with her attire, towards the soft couch in the resting area...

At the Biological Genetics Institute on the outskirts of Old Xinyuan Mountain, in a conference room, Jack, Allen, Trantong, Gu Batwei, Admiral Baya, and Smissen sat in a row.

Their eyes were filled with confusion as they watched a looping surveillance video on the screen.

The video, a recording from the surveillance cameras, showed a room housing seven black widow spiders. Each time the footage reached the moment where the room visibly shook, it cut out due to a power outage caused by the earthquake.

When power was restored two minutes later, the surveillance resumed, showing the glass tank in the room shattered.

Half an hour later, they watched Smissen, clad in white protective gear, enter the room, closing the door behind him, and checking the tank for the missing spiders.

"Smissen, did you find no trace of the black widow spiders when you went in?" Gu Batwei questioned, sitting in line with Allen and Jack, across from Smissen.

"Mr. Gu Ba, I searched for almost an hour and found no trace of the black widows. It's as if they vanished into thin air, not even leaving behind any corpses," Smissen replied respectfully, lowering his head.

Unconvinced by the video, Gu Batwei, who had rushed over from the Gu Ba State, controlled by his family, on a private plane, was deeply skeptical.

After all, these seven black widows were crucial research results for the Skull Society in the northwest, linked to the critical experiments on extending life using Green Dew Emperor Jade.

Trantong, who had flown in overnight from Trant State, controlled by the Trant family next to Old Xinyuan City, was equally skeptical of the footage and Smissen's account.

Once Gu Batwei stopped questioning, Trantong turned to Allen, accusingly, "Allen, you've been in charge of the black widow spider experiment. How could the glass shatter so easily?"

"I don't know," Allen replied, his tone somber.

"You don't know? I suspect you discovered something significant and staged this to transfer the spiders during the earthquake," Trantong pressed.

Allen, initially heartbroken over losing crucial research, flared with anger at Trantong's insinuation, glaring at him as he retorted, "Who are you accusing of staging?"

"Then explain how a minor quake could shatter the glass and make the spiders disappear," Trantong shot back.

"Trantong, I said I don't know. And accusations require evidence. Without it, mind your words," Allen snapped.

"Evidence? Isn't it obvious? An earthquake causing the spiders to vanish is absurd. It must be you and Ja—" Trantong's words were cut off by the ringing of his personal phone.

Frowning, he knew this phone rang only for emergencies, giving him a sense of foreboding. He answered, immediately hearing an urgent voice, "President, an earthquake hit Trant Pasture. All the cattle in the barns, the Golden Mountain calves, and the meat and milk reserves in the cold storage are gone."

"Wha?" Trantong shot up, "What about the five experimental cows?"

"They vanished post-earthquake too."

"Oh my God, fayou," Trantong cursed, racing out the door.

[Warning! Warning! Ahead lies the Kokosi Pasture, occupied by terrifying exotic beasts, and intelligent Satyrian and Shepherd Dog races. With the host's current power, approaching will result in capture, suppression, and draining of divine energy. The consequences are dire. Avoid immediately.]

The next morning, Zeng Shen was in the midst of a final sprint when the notification startled him, jolting his focus.

What? Dual intelligent species occupying?

Without delay, he quickly gathered the apparently sleeping Asha from atop him, moving to the rear window to peer outside.

He saw trees on both sides of the mountain path rushing past, and in moments, a new pasture plain appeared in view.

Not far off, within fenced enclosures on the plain, were snow-white goats grazing, accompanied by the occasional sight of shepherd dogs among them...
