"I'll be stepping out to get groceries, stay safe" Maryann said, picking up her card.

"The mails wouldn't check themselves by the way so do well to check them later, it's been 2 days already"

It's been the most peaceful 2 days of my life too and I almost thought I was dreaming but I wasn't.

"Buy me some ice cream!!!" I yelled, ignoring what she said earlier.

"You -" Her words got shut alongside the sound of the door opening.

"Ann?" I stood up from the couch, walking to see why she didn't complete her sentence.

"Where's she?" A male voice asked authoritatively.
