Chapter 7 Zarophin vs Beither
"Are you an idiot Zarophin!?" Yoko yelled as she shoved me in the infirmary room that I had left. "Hey, be careful I'm still delicate." "I'll show you delicate!" Yoko ran after me as I tried to run away from her. "No! Leave me alone! Get away!" "Get your ass back here!" "ENOUGH!" Me and Yoko stopped running around and looked at the door frame to see Sinta. "Yoko, go to your room and get some rest. I'm going to have a word with Zarophin about the Ether duel."
"Yes, Captain Verius." Yoko began to storm out of the room and turned to me and did the I'm watching you gesture as she walked away. Sinta closed the door and said "Look Zarophin, you can't agree with something that you know anything about..." "I know it's going to get me and my sister on the same team that's all that matters!" "While yes that's the duel, an Ether Duel is a battle to the death unless your opponent yields. Nothing is off limits and no one can interfere if the fight gets too dangerous." "I don't care how dangerous it gets. I'm going to win or die trying." Sinta stood up and looked at me in the eyes. "Don't be a naive fool or you'll be in an early grave and your sister won't have anyone." I scoffed and turned from her gaze. "Follow me, your training begins." I followed Captain Verius and she stopped at a closet and handed me some clothes.
"When we get to the training ground changing rooms you'll change into these. No questions or complaining." We continued our walk to the training grounds. "Just there are the changing rooms. Go and change and one of the Neon Knights will be with you soon." I walked to the Training grounds changing rooms as I entered I felt this blood lusted bone chilling ethereal energy. I went looking for it. I turned around because I thought I heard a hissing sound behind me that's when I fell to one knee and started breathing heavily I felt as if my wind pipe was getting constricted. That's when I felt a hand touch my shoulder I saw someone with reptile emerald green colored slit-like eyes, Long raven black hair and ashy grey skin with a thorn tattoo on the side of his face. "Hey, are you okay?" They smiled as their eyes reflected the moonlight. "Ye-Yeah I'm fine." I took their hand and they helped me as they began to walk away. "My name's Beithir. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"I'm Zarophin, it's nice to meet you." As Beithir turned away his eyes grew wide and blood shot with excitement and blood lust. (So he must be the one Sinta rescued. His ether is strong. Perhaps I should turn him into an experiment...No!... Eh, what can one small bite hurt!) Beithir turned to me and disappeared and sent a clock wise kick my way but that's when it changed into a counter clockwise kick I tried to react in time but it was too late I felt sharp pain in my stomach and I looked down. I began to tremble as I saw a strange sigil appear on my stomach and I fell to the ground. (Release the hidden Ether in this vessel and unlock his true potential!) A powerful sensation washed over me as I began to feel lightheaded and dizzy then everything went dark.
