The morning passed without much fuss though an except for the slight tension caused by the injured man who currently sat on the couch with an almost smug expression.
Elion leaned back against the plush cushions, his injured hand resting on his lap, the bandages wrapped around his palm neatly secured thanks to Raelynn's careful tending earlier. Beside him, Raelynn sat with her arms crossed, her expression a mixture of concern and irritation. Across from them, Kade was sprawled in a chair, his dark brows raised as he studied Elion with an amused smirk.
"I still can't believe it," Kade drawled, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "The great Elion Vaelorian, actually hurt? The world must be ending."
Elion let out a small sigh, lifting his good hand to massage his temple. "It's not that serious," he muttered lazily.
