The first step to unlock the best ending

It is said that the Dao is ruthless and sends down the Heavenly Dao to manage the various worlds on its behalf. However, there are always variables in the Dao. Those who exist outside the Heavenly Dao can challenge it, unaffected by its power, and they are unafraid of its might. Under these variables, anything is possible. When the variables come into play, the story begins.

Lin Tong finds himself in a helpless situation, having traveled from the new century in China to a new century in Japan, his identity transformed from an ordinary Chinese graduate student to a mixed-race middle school student of Japanese and Chinese descent. Now, he is attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School. Upon learning this, Lin Tong's eyebrows furrowed so tightly that they could pinch a fly to death.

Kunugigaoka Junior High School? Doesn't that mean I'm back in the world of Assassination Classroom?

Life is unpredictable, and discovering this at my age is enough to give anyone a heart attack.

From his memories, Lin Tong learned that he wasn't a top student at Kunugigaoka; he was in a class just below Class B. His performance on the final exam in the second grade had been less than ideal, putting him at risk of being demoted. But these academic challenges were merely a facade. The more he delved into his memories, the more a peculiar sense of dread washed over him.

To make matters worse, Lin Tong's parents were constantly traveling, leaving him to fend for himself. From a young age, he developed a strong sense of self-reliance. He also discovered that his parents had an extensive social circle, often taking him to various places where he picked up numerous skills and techniques, earning him the reputation of having been "taught by my father in Hawaii."

That night, Lin Tong recalled hearing about something intriguing at a research institute run by a friend of his mother. It was quite close by, and he had learned that Aguri Yukimura, the homeroom teacher of Class E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, worked part-time there. Since they were from the same school, he figured he might as well visit Ms. Yukimura and introduce himself.

Lin Tong arrived at the institute on his bicycle, dressed in a dark-colored casual outfit. With his innocent face, everyone there seemed to give him a welcoming smile.

Why did the people in the institute react that way? Well, we could certainly ask his father. It's quite intimidating to have a socialite with connections all over the world.

Yukimura looked at the short and playful boy in front of him and exclaimed, "So, you're Mr. Lin's youngest son, Lin Tong! What a cute boy you are!"

Lin Tong felt a rush of embarrassment and smiled awkwardly. "This... ah, let's not talk about that. What brings you here, Mr. Yukimura?"

Aguri turned slightly, revealing a large, transparent research cell behind him. Within the thick glass stood a handsome young man wearing a hospital gown. The young man had a faint smile and was looking at Lin Tong with keen interest.

Lin Tong's heart skipped a beat, sensing something was off, though the feeling quickly faded. He furrowed his brow, unaware that the handsome young man was quietly observing him.

"Mr. Lin, I need to submit some data. You can chat with him while I'm gone; he's very gentle!" Aguri waved the documents in his hand apologetically.

"Oh, it's okay, Mr. Yukimura. You can go ahead and do your work. I'd like to get to know him and make another friend!" Lin Tong quickly replied, trying to be polite.

Aguri laughed, "Just like your parents, you're charming!"

Once Aguri left, Lin Tong moved closer to the glass and locked eyes with the handsome young man, carefully observing one another.

"Under your clothes, you have a dagger, a stun gun, and a telescopic baton hidden. The left side of your pant leg is designed with a double layer, concealing a Glock 18 pistol. You've learned various combat skills, but your swordsmanship, knife skills, and marksmanship are your strongest suits. Your name sounds unique, and it seems you may have learned some interesting martial arts," the handsome young man stated, his light words striking Lin Tong like a bolt of lightning.

"How did you know that?" Lin Tong asked, disbelief etched on his face.

The handsome man grinned playfully, "Do you want to know my story?"

That night, the moon was exceptionally full, but soon, like a firecracker bursting inside a soft cake, it shattered into a crescent.

In this moment, Lin Tong and the handsome young man (whom he thought of as 'Death') engaged in a friendly conversation. Suddenly, Aguri rushed back in. Seeing Aguri's panic, Lin Tong felt his heart race. He quickly turned to the young man, speaking earnestly, "Remember how good she was to you. Don't let the person you love get hurt." With that, he hurried out, leaving the two to their fateful encounter.

In the emergency corridor outside the cell, Lin Tong spotted Director Liu Ze, who was animatedly talking to a group of armed guards, his expression fierce. Not wanting to cause trouble, Lin Tong deftly avoided Liu Ze and his entourage, wandering around the institute, waiting for an opportunity to arise.

At the same time, the events of the anime he had watched in his previous life flickered through his mind. As his memory sharpened, Lin Tong's pace slowed, and beads of cold sweat began to form on his forehead.

"Boom!"

A loud explosion echoed from the direction of the cell, startling Lin Tong as he immediately ran toward the source of the noise. However, chaos erupted inside the research institute, with explosions shaking the very foundations of the building. Lin Tong struggled to navigate through the destruction and, just in time, spotted the Grim Reaper—shrouded in tentacles—overwhelming the guards led by Liu Ze.

The institute was in disarray. Amid the ruins, Lin Tong saw Yukimura Aguri, determined yet struggling, making her way toward the Grim Reaper. He noticed a few sections of the passage that seemed intact and a warning suddenly flashed through his mind:

"Some things that appear ordinary are just disguises. The research institute near our home looks like a typical scientific establishment, but it secretly conducts antimatter research, filled with traps and mechanisms."

"Watch out for the mechanisms!" Lin Tong shouted instinctively as he recalled that warning. He quickly reached for the Glock pistol hidden in his trouser leg. Just then, Yukimura Aguri stepped on a trap that triggered a long, pointed javelin from a concealed compartment.

Lin Tong instinctively raised his weapon as a green light caught his eye. Without time to think, he pulled the trigger, his reflexes honed from years of training.

"Bang!" The javelin veered off course but still managed to strike Yukimura Aguri, who fell to the ground, bloodied and motionless.

Anger surged through Lin Tong as he slammed his fist into the ground. Knowing he had to leave, he turned away from the scene, allowing fate to take its course while he focused on dismantling the remaining mechanisms.

When he returned a short while later, all that remained of Yukimura Aguri was her lifeless body and a scrap of paper. He rushed over to examine the note but, upon reading it, tossed it aside in frustration. Feeling for her pulse, he sighed in relief when he found a faint heartbeat. Just then, a girl crawled in from the debris, stunned by the sight of the Grim Reaper and the bloodied Yukimura.

Lin Tong glanced at the girl, then back at Yukimura's body, shaking his head in sorrow. With great effort, he lifted her and quickly exited the wreckage. Once outside, he dialed a number on his cellphone, and soon a sleek black car pulled up to whisk him and Yukimura away.

Time passed after the incident at the research institute, and soon it was the beginning of a new school term. Lin Tong arrived at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, where he saw the posted notices confirming his demotion to Class E due to his poor grades.

Many students recognized him and expressed their sympathy, surprised he had been assigned to the infamous bottom class. However, true to his nature, Lin Tong inherited his parents' sociable demeanor and knew many of his classmates. He merely sighed and reassured them, "It's fine; it's just Class E. It's the same everywhere."

Having gathered the necessary information, Lin Tong decided to head to Class E in the old school building a bit later. He planned to wait for Koro-sensei to arrive and kick off the main events of the assassination classroom. During this time, he intended to gather his thoughts and manage the aftermath of Yukimura's situation himself. With his parents away, he had no choice but to reach out to various contacts for help. He also sent an email to his parents about the research institute incident.

A day later, Lin Tong received a response from his father. A smile spread across his face as he opened the email, and he promptly called the number provided.

A few days later, Lin Tong, carrying his backpack, approached the old school building on the hill where Class E was located. Inside an office sat a serious-looking man in a suit, who greeted him sternly.

"Lin Tong, why are you arriving to class now?" Wu Jian asked, his tone firm.

Lin Tong met Wu Jian's resolute gaze and replied calmly, "Mr. Wu, you know my parents. I couldn't ignore them and ended up getting caught up in their antics. I had to help them with something, which is why I'm late. Please forgive me, sir."

Karasuma sighed, "I understand; it must be challenging having parents like that. Now that you're here, get to class quickly. I'll introduce you, and then you can begin your studies. Have you memorized the confidentiality regulations?"

Lin Tong smirked, "Mr. Wu, do you really expect someone with family members who are former operatives from the KGB, CIA, MI6, and Mossad to remember all that?"

Karasuma nodded, "Good point. Let's not dwell on that. Now that you know what to expect, don't delay your studies. You won't be much help in taking down this monster if you don't focus. Study hard."

Lin Tong nodded and entered the classroom alongside Karasuma.

"Class, let me introduce a new student. This is Lin Tong. Please, Lin Tong, introduce yourself."

"Hello everyone! I'm Lin Tong. My father is Japanese, my mother is Chinese, so I'm mixed-race. I love to travel, enjoy reading, and my hobby is trying different kinds of food. It's nice to meet you all; I hope we can get along!"

"Lin Tong, you can take a seat…"

"Teacher, I'd like to sit at the last desk on the left side of the classroom facing the podium."
