Misterious Man(2)

"Where's Jane?"

Suddenly, Chyscrand asked Alyvard that.

Alyvard lifted his head from the document in his hand and looked at his father's face. His father's expression was firm and unreadable at this moment. It was unknown what he was thinking.

Not sure why his father asked that, Alyvard decided to answer honestly.

"Jane should be at the peak of the World tree at this time. After training hard, she finally leveled up."

Why did father ask that? Alyvard swallowed the question that echoed loudly in his head and continued to maintain eye contact with his father, trying to investigate his father's intentions.

Alyvard began to be wary of all the elven nobles ever since he heard what Jane had said about her dream. They were all potential masterminds who might make Jane what she is now.

He had no intention of being hostile to them, but he subconsciously began to be more vigilance when he made contact with them.

His father as the Elf King should also be involved so Alyvard couldn't help but be vigilant around him.

Lately, although Alyvard has not managed to find the identity of the main mastermind or the record of what happened when Jane was brought to the Palace which changed her attitude at that day, he did manage to find an anomaly with the way the palace treated Jane.

Jane was deliberately kept away from formal education and restricted in gaining power or influence within the court.

On the surface, this act looks like Jane is not interested in these things so she has never been involved in these formal things.

However, when everything is completely dismantled by Alyvard, it seems that even Jane's habit of only being interested in archery is the result of deliberate influence.

Generally, Elven Princesses and Princes should be given formal education and knowledge of their government and general duties as Elven Princesses and Princes.

However, it was different with Jane. Jane was deliberately not given this education.

She knew that an Elf Princess had an obligation to protect and preserve the World tree. However, she did not know the specific details. She didn't even know that even an Elf Princess was also required to perform several other tasks besides that main task.

As a result, due to the deliberate ignorance factor, Jane grew up to be uninterested in all of this.

Her existence and influence in the palace were gradually forgotten. She became nothing more than an Elven princess who liked archery and was a little popular among the citizens of the capital.

Although she received the blessing of the Goddess, since this fact was not really solidified by the elf higher-ups and Jane actions herself, Jane was unable to accept the treatment she should have received with her privileged status.

Jane being an elven princess who did nothing, couldn't do anything and was invisibly restricted.

She was a noble figure, but due to the deliberate actions of the elves higher-ups, Jane's glory had been deliberately dimmed and overshadowed.

It was all just to protect their interests and power!

What selfish people!

Alyvard involuntarily gritted his teeth as he waited for his father's next words.

"So she's already reached level two..." Chyscrand sighed, "Although I have tried to prevent this in case may it occur, it is indeed undeniable, huh."

Chyscrand looked tired. A faint frown appeared on his forehead as his face sank.

"Huh?"

Alyvard didn't understand why his father had suddenly become moody.

Chyscrand noticed Alyvard's confusion, so he stared deeply at his son's face.

"Alyvard, you must have already realized that Jane was deliberately restricted from having no power. She is already over 30, but she is never managed to reach level 2 until now although with her Blessing and wonderful talent."

Alyvard listened to Chyscrand's words, trying to understand what he meant.

"Father, do you mean, there is a reason why Jane should be restricted?"

When Alyvard asked this, his face looked very conflicted. He was convinced that restricting Jane like this was a bad thing, especially after they separated her from her original family.

However, at that moment, Chyscrand said something that completely destroyed Alyvard's understanding of Jane.

"A few years before Jane was born, the Temple keeper, Serron, once announced a prophecy..."

Chyscrand began to tell Alyvard the contents of the prophecy.

Alyvard is a smart and capable man. He quickly understood it.

"No way...!"

Alyvard quickly stood up and ran out of the room.

Jane!!

"Good afternoon, Mr. Serron."

Jane put on the sweet smile of a graceful princess and greeted the man who was blocking her way to the Job Palace.

Serron smiled happily to see Jane greet him politely.

"Yes, good afternoon!"

Serron looked at Jane with a gentle gaze, like a father looking at his little daughter.

"Level 2, huh... Princess Jane has grown, right."

"That is not right, this is just the result of my regular training." Jane covered her lips and giggled in embarrassment at Serron's words.

Jane walked past Serron and stepped towards the Job Palace.

Serron for some reason followed Jane and walked beside her after seeing Jane's actions.

"If I'm not mistaken, Princess Jane has unique magic, doesn't you?"

"That is right, yes. My magic is called Plantea Magic, a magic that is able to control and manipulate plants. Well, I suppose it is not something too special."

Jane's smile was a little stiff though it wasn't obvious.

She began to wonder what the purpose of this man was in approaching her.

What a mysterious man... suspicious, to be more precise.

"Plantea Magic! How could it be ordinary magic, Plantea Magic is one of the most coveted magic by us elves, Princess! In the lush forest environment like our Great Greast Forest, this magic will be an extremely powerful weapon!"

Jane could only laugh in response to Serron's flattery.

"By the way, what kind of Job will you choose later, Princess Jane?" Serron asked.

Jane put her finger on her chin when she heard the question.

"Hmm, I am not sure yet. I guess I will simply choose any job that looks good and suits me well."

Serron nodded gently, indicating that he was listening.

He then asked, "Given that you are very fond of archery, will you choose a bow-related Job this time as well?"

At that time, Jane was already right in front of the Job Palace.

"Hmm... Maybe."

Jane stepped inside and only answered Serron half-heartedly without even turning her head. Jane walked with brisk steps in front of the Orb of Task, as if trying to escape from Serron.

For some reason Jane felt very uncomfortable being around that man.

Seearial also always frowned when she watched Jane talk to Serron in silence before.

Well, whatever, the important thing now is, I have to choose a new Job immediately!

Jane shook her head and placed her palm on the Orb of Task, starting the Job selection process.

Meanwhile, Serron stood still right in front of the entrance of the Job Palace with a gentle smile.

What the man was thinking at the moment is unknown.
