Don't do this to me!

Screams could be heard from Brooklyn's room alongside the crashing thuds. Since coming back from the hospital, she rushed to her bedroom. Shortly after, she was thrashing her room.

Nia and a couple house attendants feared that if they dared to enter her room, they'd bear the blunt of her frustrations. So, they tried to calm her down from behind the door.

"Dr Hayes is on his way. I don't know why you're calling me when you already know what to do." Ginfred sighed as Valerie hung up.

Shortly after, a female doctor and two nurses arrived, making their way upstairs, to Brooklyn's bedroom. The househelps gave way to allow the guests to enter the 'dangerous zone'.

Thud!

As soon as they got in, an object was thrown at them. The small brass figurine clattered to the ground with a hint of blood at its ends. The doctor sustained a cut on the left side of her face. She scoffed as she felt the blood oozing out.

"Let's get to it." The doctor ordered.

The two nurses sprinted towards Brooklyn.

"Don't you dare!" Brooklyn fiercely glared at them while pointing a shard of glass at them. The two nurses halted in their steps.

"Brooklyn. Calm down. We're just here to help." Jia, one of the nurses explained to Brooklyn.

Brooklyn shook her head while chuckling. "You think I'd believe that? Why can't you all understand that I'm not sick! Why don't you listen to me!" She exasperatedly yelled. She was tired of this.

The doctor sighed. "I don't have all day for this."

Hearing that, the two nurses quickly ran to Brooklyn and forced her to let go of the shard of glass. They were quick to restrain Brooklyn on her king-sized bed despite her relentless struggle.

"Please. Don't do this to me!" She cried out as the two female nurses held her down.

The female doctor checked the needle once more, before directing it to Brooklyn's arm. No matter how much Brooklyn tried resisting, she was no match for the two nurses who held her down till the female doctor injected her arm.

Shortly after, the room fell silent. Brooklyn's protests were no longer heard as she was now sound asleep because of the midazolam injection.

"Sir!" Ginfred was out of breath from trying to stop Felix from bulging in as the doctor restrained Brooklyn.

The sight before him made his blood ran cold. Felix was dumbfounded to see just how they were treating his wife.

Brooklyn's bedroom was a mess, it was beyond recognition. When he gotbinside their mansion, he heard her distraught screams which is why he sprinted upstairs.

But what was this? Brooklyn was being drugged against her will? Like an animal, being restrained like that?

The doctor approached Felix with a fond smile.

"Felix. What a surprise!"

Felix clenched his eyes, trying to keep his anger at bay. "Just what..." He chuckled dryly. "What were you doing to her?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Just the usual procedure of sedating psych patients." Her smile dropped when she saw Felix's glare.

"Get out." His order reverbated in the quiet room.

Ginfred, the house attendants alongside the two nurses immediately left the room, unlike one person.

"Come on. You don't mean that." She playfully hit his shoulder. "Won't you ask how I'm here instead of Dr Hayes. Actually, he's my mentor and he asked that I fill in for him because he has a difficult surgery procedure right now."

"Get out Lauren. Don't make me repeat myself." His glare sent shivers down her spine.

Felix went on to sit by Brooklyn's bed. He fixed her covers and AC temperature to make Brooklyn comfortable. He sighed when he saw her tear striken face.

How could I let this happen to you?

Lauren clenched her fingers tight. She didn't like the fact that Felix disregarded her like she was nothing and was now taking care of another woman, right in front of her eyes. She had no choice but to leave quietly.
