Change bit by bit

"Mom, where did you get these spring onions?" Bai Meiyue took a seat in the aisle of the kitchen when she noticed a bunch of fresh green onions sitting on the side of the gas stove. They were so fresh and dewy that it looked like they were just plucked.

In this weather, in these conditions, how could her mother get her hands on these fresh green onions? Even if their refrigerator was good, it wasn't that good.

Her eyes flickered and she turned to look at her mother, who ladled out the hot noodles and placed them in an ice bowl.

"Didn't you ask me to grow vegetables?" Mother Bai turned to look at Bai Meiyue with a confused look on her face. "It will take some time for the greenhouse to be ready but I thought I could still grow some little things. So, I took some soil and poured it into a small bucket."
