Chapter 10

Tinnie's POV

"Tinnie? Earth to Tinnie." Aki called me for the nth, bringing me back to reality. He'd been bugging me for over four hours, and my patience was thinning.

"Huh?" I murmured, not even trying to mask my irritation. I wanted to focus on what I was doing.

"Kindly Check me out," he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and looked up, sure he was joking. I almost choked on my spit when I saw him.

I am momentarily speechless, words gone until my brain starts to function.

"Aki, what are you wearing?" My words faltered. By "wearing," I meant "not wearing." He stood shirtless, smirking, utterly aware of the effect he had on me.

What was he trying to prove, showing off those abs, that chest? I could feel my cheeks heating up as I tried to tear my gaze away. I'd be lying if I said he doesn't look good. Going to the gym would give you these effects.

"Put on a shirt," I mumbled. I stood up with a start and walked to the kitchen for a glass of water. I needed something to cool down and distract me from the flustered mess I had made of myself.

The temperature rose unexpectedly. I took a long gulp of water, hoping to keep my mind straight. Wow, Tinnie. Get a grip.

But as I started to calm down, I heard him call my name again, "Tinnie?"

I turned back and cursed my luck. There Aki was, arms crossed and shirtless. Seeing him made me sputter in the middle of my sip, water splashing as I tried to look away from him.

That chest was quite distracting.

"What?" Sure, sure. Hey, could you throw on some clothes, please? You're distracting me."

"Is that distracting?" He had this massive grin on his face, fully immersed in enjoyment. I would do it if I could wipe that grin off his face.

"No, nothing." He leans in closer.

Who ordered me to swing by this penthouse and get this flirty dude handled? Of course, It's me. I should stop asking dumb questions when I already knew the exact answers.

"You drool a little," he said, grinning. I wiped my mouth, but he laughed.

"You're so annoying!" I snapped.

He may look innocent, but he can be sexy in small ways. "Say the word, and I'll make sure you're carrying my baby," he teased, which left me speechless for a moment. Like, excuse me? You don't have to say something that is so out of context.

"Screw you," I shot back, but he laughed harder. True to my 'walk-out queen' reputation, I brushed past him, determined not to look back.

"I've got a comeback for that," he called after me.

"What?"

"Deep and hard." He put his arm around me.

"Girls who can rock oversized shirts are so sexy." A shiver ran through me as his words hit my skin.

"Stop it. You're being a perv." I shot him a glare.

"You like it." I blushed at his words.

I sighed; this is what I get for taunting him. I should've avoided temptation and played with Aki's shenanigans. In the mirror, I saw love bites on my neck and collarbones.

You're such a flirt, too, Tinnie. You know you're tempting him.

"The view here is something," he said, gazing at the city lights.

It was beautiful.

"But you know what's even more beautiful, Tinnie?" He leaned close, resting his head on mine.

"What?" I smiled, bracing myself for another one of his cheesy lines.

"Your legs." I gave him a quick pinch on his side, and he laughed.

Do I look like a clown to him?

"Tinnie, your legs are irresistible. And who wouldn't find that seductive? You're in an oversized shirt, and I can't tell if you're wearing shorts underneath or not." He gave me a look dripping with mischief.

"You're such a pervert!" I huffed and pushed him away in a playful manner.

"Haha, okay, I'm giving up," he chuckled, hands up in mock surrender.

"Oh, giving up? Why would you do that? I am gorgeous, you know," I said, throwing a smug smile his way.

He rolled his eyes." You're so full of yourself sometimes, Tinnie. That's the exact reason I continue to flirt with you." I stuck my tongue out at him, unable to resist playful defiance.

I should escape before he pulls any more tricks. No matter how much I tease him, he never gets tired of me.

That's Anthony Kiel Cruise for you. One thing I've learned about him? He's got a sweet side.

I guess I'm lucky.
