Those days were long gone now, however, and Emily wasn't that woman any longer, but it seemed that Ava failed to realize that.

The two women had had little to no contact while shooting the just concluded movie, probably that was because Ava understood that while on set, Emily was the boss and she could fire Ava if she stepped out of line.

Now, however, filming was done and Ava no doubt wanted to pick up from where she had left off bullying Emily years back.

Ava clearly has the brains of birds and lacks reasoning ability, because if what Jesse told Emily about Liam cutting Ava off was true, then she was supposed to be trying her best to be in Emily's good books so she could get another job if the opportunity presents itself, instead of trying to antagonize her.
