44- Our Agreement

I expected nothing less from his home. To say the twins were elated, was an understatement. They kept on talking about how they had plenty rooms in different houses, and it made me happy that they were happy.

I just felt uneasy with the way Lucien was inserting me into their lives. I know that we were stuck in each other's lives for a long time, but I wanted nothing more to do than distance myself from him. I felt uncomfortable. Giving me a room was the biggest eye opener to how weird our situation was. I sigh internally while putting on a smile for my kids. They did not need to know that I was uncomfortable with their dad, and the changes are scary.

After we had eaten and gotten the kids to sleep, I stayed in his sitting room because we had to talk.

He looks at me immediately he walks in, and he sighs.

"Let me guess, you want to talk about the fact that I should not have given you a room," he says like the know it all he is.
