46- A Little White Lie

*Genevieve*

The wiser thing would have been to stop the lie, but I never claimed to be wise. I am no Solomon.

My mother looks me dear in the eye which makes me squirm a little, but I do not look away.

"He asked you question Genny. Why didn't you invite your boyfriend to your own children's party?" My mother asks curiously.

I mentally curse at Lucien who is looking at me with a questionable look on his face.

"We are not yet boyfriend and girlfriend mum. We are far from official because we just recently started dating," I tell her while mentally patting myself on the shoulder for such a common lie.

"Plus, I can not just introduce my kids to someone I am not fully sure about. Things are still very casual," I tell her. I turn to look at Lucien with a raised eyebrow as to why he is frowning his face as if he has just been wronged.
