Chapter 117: The Truth Becomes Clear

The sirens gradually faded away, and the night enveloped the city again, with a faint smell of blood in the air.

Dai Shiya looked down at the wound on her arm. The blood had soaked through the gauze, and waves of stinging came, but she seemed to feel no pain, her eyes were fixed on the note in her hand - "Wharf warehouse, midnight".

"Master, let's go to the hospital now, your injury can't be delayed any longer." Wei Qing looked at Dai Shiya worriedly. She had never seen the master so persistent and so desperate.

"No, going to the hospital now will only alert the enemy." Dai Shiya shook her head and said firmly, "We must get to the wharf warehouse before midnight to see what secrets are hidden there."

Wei Qing knew that once the master made up his mind, he would not change it easily.

She took a deep breath and suppressed her worries, "Okay, I'll go with you."

The two quickly left the scene and drove towards the wharf.

Outside the car window, the light and shadow of the street lamps flashed quickly, and the buildings on both sides of the street became blurred, as if everything was shrouded in a mysterious veil.

As time passed, Dai Shiya's uneasiness became stronger and stronger.

She felt an invisible pressure, as if a huge net was covering her and making it difficult for her to breathe. They

arrived at the dock.

The dock was terribly quiet late at night, with only the sound of waves hitting the shore and a few whistles in the distance.

Under the dim street lights, the huge warehouse was like a sleeping monster, casting a long shadow.

Dai Shiya and Wei Qing approached the warehouse cautiously. The air was filled with a damp and musty smell, mixed with a subtle smell of blood.

The door of the warehouse was closed, and there was no movement, as if there was no one inside.

"Master, it's too quiet here, I don't feel right." Wei Qing said in a low voice. She felt that the air around her seemed to be solidified, making people feel suffocated.

Dai Shiya nodded, and she also felt the breath of danger.

She clenched the dagger in her hand and scanned the surroundings vigilantly, "Be careful, let's go in and take a look."

The two slowly approached the warehouse door. At this moment, Dai Shiya suddenly stopped. She felt something strange and turned back suddenly.

"It seems that you are here after all." A cold voice came from behind.

Dai Shiya sneered, and she slowly turned around. Her eyes were as sharp as ice, piercing through the darkness and shooting straight at the source of the voice.

A man in a black windbreaker was walking out of the darkness with a gloomy smile on his face.

Behind him, there were several bodyguards who were also wearing black clothes. They appeared around the warehouse silently like ghosts.

"You are really coming for me." Dai Shiya's tone was calm, as if she had expected this scene.

She did not show any panic, but instead observed the movements around her more vigilantly.

She knew that since the other party dared to show up on his own initiative, he must have something to rely on.

"It seems that you are very smart, Miss Dai." The man in black said slowly, his voice was hoarse and low, with a chilling sense of oppression.

"However, smart people usually die faster."

Dai Shiya ignored his threat. She smiled contemptuously, as if she had heard a boring joke.

She glanced at Wei Qing with her peripheral vision. The latter understood and quietly stepped back a few steps so that she could act quickly when necessary.

Dai Shiya knew that this game had just begun.

"Since you are here, don't hide." Dai Shiya said coldly. Her voice was crisp and powerful, and it was particularly clear in the quiet dock.

"Why not invite your mastermind to come out and let me see who is so bold as to dare to plot against my Dai family."

The man in black heard this and his face changed slightly.

He didn't expect Dai Shiya to be so bold that he dared to provoke in public. He

sneered, "Miss Dai, you are still too young. Some things are not something you can know just because you want to know them."

Dai Shiya did not refute. She just had a stern look in her eyes, like a cheetah, firmly locking the man in black in front of her.

She had already made a plan in her mind. The purpose of tonight was to lure the snake out of its hole. Since the other party had taken the bait, she would never let them escape easily.

She suddenly turned her eyes to the back of the man in black and said in a cold tone: "The one hiding at the back, how long are you going to pretend? My good uncle!"

The man in black's face froze instantly. He turned back suddenly and saw a familiar figure slowly walking out of the darkness. It was Dai Shiya's uncle, Dai Hongfei.

Dai Hongfei's face was a little embarrassed and flustered.

He didn't expect that Dai Shiya was so sharp and saw through him at a glance.

"Shiya, you...how could you..." Dai Hongfei stammered. He couldn't believe that his carefully planned conspiracy was so easily seen through by Dai Shiya.

Dai Shiya looked at him. She had long suspected that someone in the family was colluding with outsiders and had been investigating secretly. Now she finally found the real culprit.

"Uncle, you really disappoint me." Dai Shiya sneered.

"Do you think I know nothing? You colluded with them and tried to take away everything from me. Today, I will not let you succeed again."

Dai Shiya's words, like a sharp sword, pierced Dai Hongfei's heart fiercely.

His face was pale, and his legs were trembling slightly. He looked at Dai Shiya in horror, as if he saw a devil from hell.

"You...you..." Dai Hongfei was incoherent, and completely lost his former arrogance.

Dai Shiya looked at his embarrassed appearance and felt extremely happy in her heart.

She knew that this was just the beginning, and she would make all those who betrayed her pay the price they deserved.

"Uncle, do you really think I will only come to arrest you today?" Dai Shiya smiled, as gorgeous as a poppy, "The good show is still to come." Dai Shiya

's eyes were as sharp as a hawk, sweeping across Dai Hongfei's frightened face, and then fell back on the man in black, with a cold arc at the corner of her mouth.

"Tonight's harvest is greater than I thought." She paused, with a hint of sarcasm in her tone, "But this is just the beginning."

Dai Shiya took a deep breath, the night chill soaked through the thin gauze, and the wound was aching.

The unique fishy smell of the dock warehouse area mixed with the humid air, making her feel nauseous.

But she resisted the discomfort and her eyes were firm.

She knew that this game was far from over, and the real mastermind was still hiding in the dark.

"Master..." Wei Qing looked at the wound on Dai Shiya's arm worriedly. The blood had seeped out, which looked shocking under the dim light.

The air around was heavy, as if even the sound of the waves had become much lighter.

"It's okay." Dai Shiya patted Wei Qing's hand, indicating that she was relieved.

She turned to look at Dai Hongfei, her tone cold, "Uncle, now, can you tell me who instructed you?"

Dai Hongfei's face was pale, his eyes flickered, and he didn't dare to look directly at Dai Shiya's eyes.

His lips trembled, but he couldn't say a word.

Fear overwhelmed him like a tide, and he realized that he was at his wit's end.

"It seems that you are not going to cooperate." Dai Shiya sneered, turned to look at Wei Qing, "Take out the things."

Wei Qing took out a tablet from her bag, operated it skillfully, and handed it to Dai Hongfei.

A document was displayed on the screen, which was the evidence of Dai Hongfei's secret transaction with the man in black, including the time, place, amount, and even the recording of their conversation.

When Dai Hongfei saw the evidence, his face turned pale. He knew that he was finished.

"Now, do you have anything else to say?" Dai Shiya's voice was like a judgment from hell, cold and piercing.

Dai Hongfei slumped on the ground dejectedly, his eyes empty, as if he had lost his soul.

He muttered to himself: "I... I was wrong..."

Dai Shiya ignored his confession, turned to look at the man in black, and said in a cold tone, "What about you? Who is the mastermind behind you?" The

man in black had a gloomy face and said nothing.

He knew that he had fallen into Dai Shiya's trap, but he would never betray his master.

Dai Shiya looked at the man in black ,

but she was not in a hurry. She still had time. She would slowly, bit by bit, pull out all the enemies hiding in the dark.

"Master," Wei Qing leaned close to Dai Shiya's ear and whispered, "I found some clues..."

Dai Shiya nodded slightly, motioning Wei Qing to continue.

Wei Qing switched the content on the tablet to another file, pointed to a name on it, and whispered, "This person is likely to be the mastermind behind the scenes..."

Dai Shiya looked at the name on the screen, her eyes gradually becoming deeper.

She whispered, "It seems that we have to visit this 'old friend'..."

Suddenly, there was a roar of a car engine in the distance, coming from far away and approaching at a very fast speed, breaking the silence of the dock.

Dai Shiya and Wei Qing looked at each other, and both saw a hint of vigilance in each other's eyes.

"It seems that someone doesn't want us to leave here alive..." Dai Shiya's tone was cold, and

the roar of the engine was getting closer and closer. Several black cars rushed into the dock like arrows from a bow, and the dazzling lights cut through the night sky.

The car door opened, and a group of armed men in black filed out and quickly surrounded Dai Shiya and Wei Qing.

"It seems that they are in a hurry to die." Dai Shiya sneered, and a cold light flashed in her eyes.

She did not panic because of this, but observed the movements around her more calmly. The

appearance of the other party verified her previous conjecture-there must be more than one person behind the scenes, and there must be a huge force behind this.

"Master, be careful!" Wei Qing stood in front of Dai Shiya, and her eyes were vigilantly scanning the men in black.

She held the stun gun tightly in her hand, ready to fight back at any time.

"Don't be nervous." Dai Shiya patted Wei Qing on the shoulder, signaling her to relax.

She slowly walked to the front, her eyes as sharp as a knife, staring directly at the leading black-clad man, "Are you here to die?"

The leader of the black-clad men was intimidated by Dai Shiya's momentum, and a trace of hesitation appeared on his face.

But he quickly regained his composure and said with a grin, "Miss Dai, you are very smart, but today, your cleverness is destined to make you pay the price!"

Dai Shiya smiled contemptuously, "Really? I want to see who will pay the price first!" She raised her hand suddenly, and the dagger in her hand drew a cold light in the moonlight, pointing directly at the leader of the black-clad men.

The battle was about to break out!

The black-clad men took the lead in launching an attack. They rushed towards Dai Shiya and Wei Qing like a tiger descending from a mountain, and the weapons in their hands made a sharp sound of breaking through the air.

Dai Shiya was flexible, moving through the crowd like a ghost, and the dagger in her hand accurately stabbed the enemy's vital points.

Every time she attacked, there would be a blood flower, accompanied by painful wails.

Wei Qing used a stun gun to provide fire support. Her movements were swift and decisive, and each attack could temporarily make the enemy lose their combat effectiveness.

The battle on the dock instantly became fierce, with the sound of weapons colliding and screams intertwined and echoing in the night sky.

Dai Shiya and Wei Qing cooperated well. They stood back to back, forming an indestructible line of defense.

Although the number of men in black was large, they were defeated under the powerful offensive of the two.

Dai Hongfei was frightened out of his wits by this sudden change. He curled up on the ground, trembling, and had long lost his previous arrogance.

He looked at Dai Shiya's figure like a god of war, and his heart was filled with fear and despair.

He knew that he was completely finished, and all his plans had been completely shattered by Dai Shiya.

"How could this happen?" Dai Hongfei looked ahead with empty eyes, "How could she be so strong..."

"They are vulnerable." Dai Shiya dealt with the last man in black and slowly walked to Dai Hongfei with cold eyes, "Uncle, I said, the best is yet to come."

She looked around and her eyes finally fell on the tablet in Wei Qing's hand, which showed a map. The place marked with a red dot was exactly where she was going next.

Dai Shiya took a deep breath. The air was filled with a strong smell of blood. She felt nauseous and her wounds began to ache.

She had to leave here as soon as possible to find the deeper truth and find out the real mastermind.

"Let's go." Dai Shiya said, she turned and walked towards the car parked not far away, followed by Wei Qing.

Under the night, the dock returned to silence, with only the waves hitting the shore, making a slight sound.

The figures of Dai Shiya and Wei Qing disappeared in the night, leaving only a huge shadow covering the entire dock.

"The mastermind behind this incident seems to be more difficult than we thought." Wei Qing whispered. She looked at Dai Shiya's profile.

Dai Shiya did not answer, but slowly raised her head and looked at the dark night sky. She seemed to feel a pair of eyes peeping at her in the dark. The eyes were cold and gloomy, which made people shudder.

She clenched her fists, her nails deeply dug into her palms, and a cold smile appeared at the corners of her mouth.

"Soon, we will meet."
