Ashley lay in Nathan's arms in deep thought as she wondered what had suddenly overtaken her mother to come to a decision.
Her eyes flashed at the thought of Dr. Singh. There was something odd about the woman. And no, not because she had worked with her mother to erase her memories. It was something different. Something that felt weird.
Ashley didn't dwell on it any longer. It would be of no use. At the moment, she had two issues to prioritize: the murders around her and her mother. Thinking about other things would only hold her back.
As though Nathan could sense her restlessness, he pressed a kiss to the side of her face. "What's wrong?"
The young woman snuggled even more into his embrace, feeling a sense of calm only the man could bring her. "I was thinking of going to see mom tomorrow." She replied softly and out of the corner of her eye, the man's expression changed.
