Saviours in Another World - Pt 3

The CEO's PoV

FWOOOOSH!

SHIIIING!

POOOOOM!

It's frustrating...

These Kaijus are harder to put down thanks to their regenerative gimmick. It's the first time we've encountered something like this. What a bother. Luckily we're able to quickly dispatch them, but our fighters are growing tired.

I observed the battlefield from a distance. Even though I'm blind, I can very much see what's happening. I've developed a sense for detecting Aura to the highest degree, hence why I could tell that there were many Saviours taking watch beforehand. The world to me looks like outlines on a drawing. Aura is everywhere.

As we push forward, we discovered a weakness— their regeneration has limits. The more they die, the slower they return.

The Kaijus we fight are but aspects of what they truly are. If these Kaijus are slowly learning how to enter our worlds at their full capacity, we may be in for a calamity. The regenerative gimmick of the ones we're fighting may just be the beginning.

Thankfully these Kaijus in their lesser forms can't escape the concept of Death, but how long can Death keep them from truly being a calamity?

FWOOOOSH!

Well. I shouldn't be worrying too much. Especially since I have capable fighters to eradicate the Kaiju threat.

Kazuma Arashi and Aoi Shigure were busy dealing with the Kaiju threat. Their teamwork is impeccable. They know when to attack and when to defend.

The flames that erupt from Kazuma burn through the Kaiju's armor, disentegrating the Kaiju from the face of the Earth. Aoi on the other hand, uses her guns to annihilate the Kaiju threat with precision. Every shot she takes results in a kill.

"One shot, one kill."

Each shot she takes has enough energy to level entire buildings. If given the chance, she would launch attacks that possessed the destructive capabilities of a nuclear warhead. I've seen it during a battle between her and Fujiwara Kane in her, [Land of the Golden Lord].

As for the Saviours...

PUMMEL

POOM!

"AHH!"

Toma was off in the distance, pummeling a Saviour to the ground.

"And that's what you get for being a Saviour!"

POOM!

The earth beneath the Saviours crumbled as the red haired girl slammed her fists onto their chest.

Toma. I can't remember when I took her under my wing, but she's an exceptional fighter. She's one of the best martial artists within the KAC and her fighting style helps deal with the thugs we called Saviours.

SHREIIIIIIIIIIIIK!

What was that? It sounded like it came from within their base.

PAT!

PAT!

PAT!

A being stepped out from within their base.

"What is that?"

What is this Aura I'm sensing from this thing? It's not Human. Is it a Kaiju?

SHREIIIIIIIIIIIIK!

I can sense everyone on the battlefield turn their attention towards the direction from where the shriek was emitted. It was a mix between a human screaming in agonizing pain.

"What was that?"

"That doesn't sound good!"

The KAC members who were near the being were dismembered in an instant. Their screams in pain echoed throughout the battlefield.

The Aura I'm sensing from this thing— it's different...

Argh!

Those damn Saviours used a human catalyst to summon this Kaiju! No. That Leader!

When a human is used as a catalyst for a Kaiju, it takes on aspects of that human including the abilities that the human once possessed. For example:

If a human with the ability to manipulate the fabric of space was used as a catalyst, the Kaiju would take on the abilities to manipulate space and the potency of its newfound abilities would be multiplied by infinity.

It'd be catastrophic.

The other KAC members fleed for their lives in fear. I don't blame them. I would've done the same. The only ones who stayed behind were my talents and Kazuma.

However...

"I'll take this one."

Higanbana Hikari. The strongest of her generation. The Silver Haired Shrine Maiden. The Strings of Death.

In this world of Idols, there is a term used to describe each group that debuts called, "Generations." Usually when an idol company debuts their first group of idols, they are labeled as "0th Generation," as they are the first to debut. Names aren't limited to just numbers.

For example Aoi Shigure belongs to, Generation: Houkai, a generation that mainly performs in different worlds.

Higanbana Hikari, Toma, and Fujiwara Kane all debuted together as, Generation: Shinsei.

I can hear chuckles erupting from Toma in excitement as she jumped cheeringly.

"You go get em, Hikari!"

I may not see it, but...

I can sense a grin on Hikari's face. She's been waiting for this moment. Kazuma seemed to want to join her but Aoi held him back.

"Let's give her the chance to shine, mkay?"

"Awwwww! C'mon, Aoi?"

He sounds so disappointed. Heh. Rightfully so. But. Let's see our girl shine.

Hikari spoke to the Kaiju in a calm dead tone as it shreiked in intimidation.

"You managed to kill a few of my peers. However..."

She said grinning as she stared the Kaiju down.

This fight was already over before it even began.

THRUNG!

The battlefield became silent. No one, not even the Kaiju made a sound until-

PHYOOOOOOOOOM!

I felt a surge of power boom throughout the battlefield. A loud explosion erupted and Aoi and the others reacted as they saw the aftermath.

The Kaiju that once stood in front of Hikari, was utterly anhhilated alongside the Saviours base. All that was left is nothing but destruction.

I recognize an attack of this magnitude. Hikari called it-

[DISSONANCE OF ANHHILATION]

_____

The user launches a devastating attack that valorizes all that is caught in its radius. All that remains is nothing but a large gaping hole in the earth.

_____

"So that's the power of the one who's called the Strings of Death..."

Asol Ansaldo's PoV

Charging towards the three Saviours head on isn't what I had in mind when I first thought of fighting them.

CRAAAAAACK

"Argh!"

That lightning attack...

It came from that Elemental Guy. The feeling of lightning coursing through my veins numbed my body as I slowly collapsed onto the floor. A stinging pain that gave me the feeling my body was burning. I was paralyzed.

"Hahahahaha! Gotcha!"

That arrogant laugh came from the Elemental Guy. The Leader and Patrick stopped their assault and observed as the Elemental Guy approached my paralyzed body.

The calm soothing darkness that surrounded us cleared as the Saviours approached me.

"Ya know... You're pretty fast for someone as inexperienced as you. Oh right! You don't know my name! They call me AM. Don't ask what that stands for."

"AM huh? So that's your name. I can stop calling you the 'Elemental Guy".

He kneeled next to my body, seemingly staring into my eyes as he chuckled lightly in response.

"Hah! You're funny! Hey Leader! Let me deal with this guy!"

He yelled as he quickly stood up.

The Leader nodded.

AM looked down on me, seemingly excited.

"You know ever since that day, I've been excited to actually fight you. Perhaps even kill you. But first. Before we fight, I'm going to make sure we're not going to be disturbed."

He conjured an ice wall, separating us and the others. I can see the Leader and Patrick through the ice, defrosting Fujiwara.

"What... Are... They... Doing...?"

"Hm? Oh, my Leader and my brother? They are simply waking your friend up from her sleep. She's been defrosting eversince we got here. And they will use her."

"Use... Her?"

"Haha! Yes! You heard me! Well, my Leader won't exactly use her. The Rock will absorb her. The girl's abilities are potent enough to awaken it right now. But unfortunately, I have to deal with you in order to make progress."

It's good that she's defrosting, but it's just turned bad now. I was under the notion that they were going to use her! But... If the Rock is going to absorb her, what is it going absorb from her? Her Aura? Her body? Maybe her entire being?

Damn it...! This paralysis! I can see the Leader using his gravity to lift Fujiwara from her icy sleep and offer her to the Rock as it absorbs her gold, yellow Aura, as she wakes up screaming in pain.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!"

"Fu... Ji... Wa... Ra..!"

I could feel her agonizing pain— her screams bellowed as she writhed in pain as her Aura was being absorbed.

The gold light emanating off her, illuminated the area surrounding the three of them. The CEO said the darkness was Aura emanated from the Rock. For Fujiwara's Aura to overcome it would mean-

CRUMBLE!

CRUMBLE!

CRUMBLE!

Are those cracks in the Rock?

"Ho, ho, ho! It seems things will be getting more interesting now!"

"Why... Why... Are... You... Doing... This...?"

"Oh?"

The Saviour kneeled down as to mock me.

"Why am I doing this? I'm doing this for my brother..."

His voice seems down, I can hear him softly quivering until he regained composure.

"Have you ever been betrayed by your closest friends? Your family? Your loved ones?"

Where is this going?

"Imagine being born in a prestigious family only for you to be discarded like trash. My brother, Patrick, was the only one who kept me safe, who gave me food. He may have been cold and calculating, that bastard, but he cares for me. And then, the Leader takes us under his wing. And now, I do both their biddings because I feel I owe them everything. Killing you, is the biggest thing I'll do for them."

(Flashback with Fujiwara Kane)

"kite..."

Eh?

I wake up in the middle of the night in the home of a girl who looks like my dead friend. It was the night before Fujiwara's concert. Did I hear "Kite?"

Ignoring my grogginess, I get up from the king sized bed and make my way upstairs where Fujiwara's room was located.

I could hear her continuesly saying-

"kite...kite...kite..."

She sounded scared, sad, even angry...

It got louder and louder as I approached her room. Her door was slightly open leaving a large enough room to peek.

She was crying. The girl who remained composed through anything was breaking down. What am I supposed to do in this situation? Do I let her be? What would Belle have done if that were me?

I gently pushed the door silently and make my way next to her crying self who was curled up. This grief and sadness is also is similar to what I'm going through after having losing Mom and Belle.

I thought Fujiwara had already come to terms with her friend's death, but I was wrong to think that.

I thought we were similar. But, we're quite the same. We unknowingly come from the same world, we lost that world, she comes here empty, I come here mysteriously twelve years later losing everything.

"kite..."

Her quiet sobbing came to a halt once I gently laid my hand between hers as she clutches it.

"It's soft..."

I stare at the ceiling aimlessly.

Is this me atoning for living?

(Present Day)

No.

I won't let you kill me! I will die one day, but I will not die today!

"Aaargh!"

"Hm?"

Pushing through the paralysis, I gather Aura into my fist and swing with all my might towards the unsuspecting Saviour as I thought back to all the times I've lost, all the things I've lost, and the person who's been there for me. The person I want to save.

I wanted to save Fujiwara Kane. The first person I've met here on Earth, as well as someone who I've grown to care. Now, I know why I want to save her. No. Not want. I know why I have to save her.

[SHATTERED LEGACY]

________________________________________

A devastating blow that depends on the amount of Aura put into the attack itself.

________________________________________

POOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Argh! Damn that recoil!

A massive ice wall formed just before my attack made contact with him, absorbing the energy and expanding.

"Hehehe. Hahahahaha!"

[ICE BARRIER]

The Saviour laughed hysterically.

"You fool! Do you honestly think that by attempting to land a blow on me, I would allow you to do so? I think not! Do you even know how my [Ice Barrier] works?"

After my first encounter with AM and finding out I had to fight the three of the top guns of the Saviours, his [Ice Barrier] was most concerning. It took some time for me to brainstorm how it functioned, but...

How much energy can this thing absorb before releasing the energy back at me?

CRACK!

"Hm?"

The Saviour looked up to see cracks in his barrier. The ice, even though was expanding, was cracking under the ridiculous amount of energy it was absorbing.

"I- impossible!"

That sound of disbelief allowed me to break through the ice and land a devastating blow. The ice had already absorbed some energy from the attack, but this was enough to send him flying towards his ice wall separating the fight, breaking it down, and sending a shockwave that interrupted Fujiwara's Aura being absorbed.

After the dust cloud formed, I could see a figure rising. It was the Leader.

"Argh! That boy! I told him not to mess around! And what did he do? He did the opposite!"

[PLANAR COLLAPSE]

A powerful force pressed me into the ground face flat.

"Urgh!"

The Leader was making his way towards me. Patrick was continuing the process of offering Fujiwara's Aura to the Rock.

"N-no..."

This feeling of being pressed into the earth is painful. It's like if you were to fight the hand of God.

Oh god...

I think I'm going to pass out from this...

The Leader yelled out to his Saviours.

"Patrick! Create a portal, take care of your brother, and retreat. We are cutting our mission short. We've done what we came here to do!"

Patrick Rose from the rubble.

"Yes my Leader. And what of the girl and you?"

"Leave the girl here. As for me? Leave me to my devices. I'll be back."

The Saviour bowed with respect.

"Yes my Leader. Good luck."

The Saviour picked up and carried his injured brother through the portal he made.

"As for you, Asol Ansaldo..."

The Leader was standing above me as his gravitational ability pressed me into the earth. Oh I'm passing out-

...

...

...

Hm?

"A white space? Is this Heaven? Did I die?"

'No. You didn't. You are simply passed out.'

That voice! I recognize it!

I turn to the direction where the girl's voice originated.

"There you are..."

'And here I am.'

The girl I've encountered in many of my dreams. The one who supposedly lifted a "seal" restricting me of my abilities.

Her lush white hair, her slim body, and her red crimson eyes that possessed an omega symbol in her pupils. Not to mention, she's naked. Her voice was calming, yet her face lacked emotion.

"Please some clothes on."

'As you wish.'

And so she did. But I have so many questions. Everytime I've tried to ask her anything, I wake up. So hopefully I can ask her some.

'I know you wish to ask me questions. You may do so.'

"Who are you? What are you? And why are you inside me?"

'I am you, as you are me. As for why I am... I do not know.'

That doesn't answer my question, but ok...

"So why appear now after unsealing one of 9 seals?"

The girl's crimson Omega eyes stared deep into me.

'I never did.'

"What do you mean you never did? Aren't I stronger?"

'I never lifted a seal. If I actually did, you would've destroyed the eastern hemisphere from the pure energy from the lifting of the seal.'

"Oh..."

But...

"But I got stronger? Right? I got faster. I managed to even control my Aura to some-"

'I made you believe you did, in which you did.'

"So why? Why show up now? You haven't answered that question."

'I wish to lend you some power.'

"Power? Why is that?"

The girl stayed silent for a moment while staring at me.

'You are going to die.'
