After ending the call, Ye Fan said to Lu Chengqiang, "A friend called to meet up, so let's end our talk here for today. I'll come visit you again another day."
"Alright, Chief," Lu Chengqiang replied.
Ye Fan reached out and firmly patted Lu Chengqiang's shoulder, then walked out of the hospital room, got into his car, and drove away from the military hospital.
Twenty minutes later, in a high-end leisure chat hall, Ye Fan and Shi Sheng sat face to face.
Shi Sheng was dressed in plain civilian clothes, with a buzz cut, tanned skin, a slightly gaunt body that was in fact as tough as steel, bright eyes, and an aura around him that gave one goosebumps.
"What would you like to drink?" Ye Fan asked with a smile.
"Some plain water," Shi Sheng replied somewhat woodenly.
Ye Fan nodded, turned to the attendant standing by, and said, "Two glasses of plain water."
