Apocalyptic Era: Starting from picking up a Bishoujo

After returning to the surface, Ming Zhuo and I arrived at a vast wasteland.


The light cannon that struck Ming Zhuo from a distance blew him away instantly, causing him to crash heavily to the ground.


This attack was incredibly powerful; it looked like a sneak attack aimed at injuring Ming Zhuo. In reality, it did exploit his extreme vulnerability from combined internal and external attacks to strip away one of his lives, but it also temporarily freed him from my control. Moreover, the mana contained within the light cannon transformed into something like a cocoon, encasing him inside and severing my connection with the Xuanming Fire.


I immediately released flames to destroy the white light cocoon. It was clear that this was only a temporary protective measure, for the white light cocoon disintegrated in less than a tenth of a second. But it was already too late.


In that brief moment, less than one-tenth of a second, Ming Zhuo completely broke free from my killing cycle.
