"He's right, we've all been in line for over half an hour," another guy ahead of him chimed in, "and there's no way we're going to let you through."
Wen Tenglan felt helpless; she had another question to ask Li Fei today, but she didn't expect this situation.
Coincidentally, Huo YanGen, feeling fed up after listening to Li Fei's speech, left early. As he and his driver were heading back, he heard Wen Tenglan's remark and stopped, asking, "Is there anything I can help you with, student?"
Seeing that he seemed dignified and not a bad sort, Wen Tenglan didn't hide her intentions: "I'm looking for Li Fei."
"Come with me."
Huo YanGen led Wen Tenglan to a less crowded area and said, "It's really quite fortuitous. I am Li Fei's classmate, Huo YanGen. He isn't in the classroom but outside; he asked me to join him for a meal. Would you like to come along?"
Wen Tenglan was confused, "It's not even noon yet, what meal?"
"It seems he is hosting friends and prepared earlier."
