OVA | PROLOGUE

A student was watching anime on his laptop. Fun to watch in class, even though the lecturer was explaining Indonesian history. He continued to watch. No one noticed, because the student was in the last seat, the very back, plus in the corner.

"Okay, who were the descendants of King Giri who fought against the VOC troops in 1679?" The lecturer asked the question while walking between the rows of tables and chairs, watching the students around. The students seemed to be thinking hard, trying to remember.

"You, Oka, can you answer that?" The lecturer pointed at the student watching the anime, asking him a question.

The student's name is Oka, and he loves anime. Especially anime in the isekai genre. His friends nicknamed him Otaku. Fortunately, the lecturer did not see Oka's laptop screen, only the top of the laptop. Oka was safe.

All the students looked at Oka. Oka was slightly stunned, glancing at the lecturer, "Oh, the descendant of King Giri who fought the VOC troops in 1679 was Prince Singosari. He was the eighth descendant after Prince Singonegoro, who was not actually a descendant of King Giri"—what do you think? He wouldn't be able to answer?—"Actually, Prince Singosari should be eighth in line, not seventh. But because the throne of the kingdom was held by Prince Singonegoro, Prince Singosari was placed eighth.

"Actually, Prince Singosari did not fight the VOC troops directly, rather he fought King Amangkurat II's troops who were assisted by the VOC and Captain Jonker. There is a history of betrayal and rebellion behind it. Amangkurat himself was a king who instilled in the people the teaching that they should fear the king as they feared God. It originated from the teachings of Siti Jenar, who at the time—"

"Alright, thank you, Oka." The lecturer cut off Oka's answer, which was more than enough—if left unanswered, it seemed to be going nowhere. The lecturer walked back to the front of the class.

Oka smiled, relaxed. He seemed to take the answer very lightly. Actually, his friends were used to it. Although Oka had been engrossed in watching anime, without paying attention to the lecturer's explanation at all, it didn't mean that he was a bad student, stupid, and didn't like to pay attention to lessons. No! He was actually very diligent and smart. So much so that he even read and studied the entire course book. That's why he didn't pay attention to the lecturer's explanation, because he already knew everything. So instead he focused on watching anime on his laptop. At first glance, if you don't know him, people might mistake him. Whereas Oka has a principle, "if I want to relax, I have to do all my assignments and important things in life".

Oka stares back at the laptop screen, continuing the anime he paused, engrossed in watching again. Some of the students were actually interested in the explanation of Oka's answer just now. Especially the part about King Amangkurat and the teachings of Siti Jenar. Most of them didn't know. It was common that when Oka explained history, there would always be something new and interesting, making people curious.

"Good answer, Man." His otaku friend—Ghosan—next to him punched Oka lightly on the shoulder. Mesmerized by his answer just now.

Oka just smiles back, focused on watching anime.

"He prefers to watch cartoons made by the colonizers (Japan), but Oka knows a lot about Indonesian history." His other friend in front of his desk—Haidar—looked back, complimenting him.

Oka says nothing. He was used to being praised.

"Being a otaku is like Oka. Even though you love Japan, you still know your own country. We should look up to him. Agreed?" Tori, his otaku friend next to Haidar, also looked back, adding.

"Noisy," Oka said with a grin, stifling a laugh.

"That's right. If it's like Oka, it'll be balanced. The otaku won't be considered traitors to the nation." Adam (also a otaku) added in the next row.

The other otaku friends laughed, "Ha-ha-ha ...."

"King Wibu." Ose (otaku) next to Adam chided Oka.

"HA-HA-HA-HA-HA...!" Suddenly, all the otaku friends laughed at Ose's joke. With today's lecture being about the king, the joke just now sounded funny.

The whole class, including the lecturer, looked at Oka and his otaku friends because they were busy by themselves. "Can you please calm down over there?" The lecturer reprimanded. Oka's otaku friends immediately fell silent in embarrassment, their faces folded—excluding Oka, who had been silent, focused on watching anime. It's quiet for a few seconds. All the students' eyes looked at them.

"Booo, you otaku!" One of the students chuckled, breaking the silence.

"AHA-HA-HA-HA-HA...!" The entire student body burst into laughter at this, laughing at Oka's otaku friends. Oka's otaku friends became even more embarrassed. Oka shook his head. He didn't care about his wibu themes. Well, it's a good thing they're used to being called that.

"Alright everyone, please calm down. Look over here!" The lecturer exclaimed while clapping her hands.

The laughter of the students in unison stopped slowly. Silent, all students returned their attention to the lecturer.

"Good. Listen carefully everyone! On Sunday we will go on a field trip to the cultural museum to do research, as well as to broaden our horizons. We will see the historical objects directly there, of course, so that you don't get bored studying in class.

"There will be a group assignment, each group must make a report on the results of observing historical objects totaling 7,000 words. The next day, there will be a presentation. The best and most interesting report will get high accreditation of course."

The lecture finished at noon. The students left the classroom. Scattered in the courtyard of the faculty building. They began to disperse to their personal destinations at the gate, some to the dormitories. The sun continues to rise. Oka didn't go home on the university bus with his otaku friends today.

"You're not coming home with us?" Adam asked on the steps of the bus door.

"I want to go to the bookstore. The usual." Oka grinned, laughing crisply.

Adam understood immediately. "Oh, alright. Be careful on the road, my Friend. Sayonara." Waving goodbye.

The bus closed its doors and drove away from the university gates. Road dust billowed from the bus tires.

"Sayonara." Oka waved back. Smiling. They were lovely friends.

It's quiet.

Oka exhaled, "Yosh, time to go manga hunting." He raised his fist to the sky.

Oka walked towards the bookstore, walking cheerfully. The afternoon was not too hot. The sky was clear and cloudy. Oka is wearing a black hooded sweater. It has a picture of one of her favorite anime characters, Gojo Satoru from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, who is unveiling a blindfold, the blue eyes of the anime character looking beautiful. The trousers themselves are black, with red trim. There is a small dragon's sin symbol from the Seven Deadly Sins anime on his thigh. As for his shoes, Oka is wearing customized black Jordan shoes, with the character Izuku Midoriya, who is wearing a black costume with green trim from the third movie. Oka is in a full black suit.

The pedestrians around paid more attention to Oka. It was because of the pictures of anime characters on his clothes, making him look more striking than the others, looking more different too. Oka continues to walk confidently on the sidewalk, while dancing along (like in the intros of Hollywood movies). Enjoy, Sir.

"Hi, Man, nice day." A person (just an "NPC") who saw Oka walking happily said hello, waving. Oka waved back with a thumbs up.

Red light, vehicles stop, Oka crosses the road at the intersection, crosses the zebra crossing (still dancing groovily), crosses a fairly wide highway. The logo of a bookstore is visible, not too far from where Oka is walking. Just at the end of the bend in the road ahead, Oka is almost there. Oka smiles enthusiastically, walking faster, humming along, singing her favorite song, "Silhouette" from the opening of the Naruto Shippuden anime.

At the bookstore, Oka bought quite a lot of the latest manga. Most of the manga in the isekai genre he bought. Bam! Placing the manga of her choice on the cashier's counter—buyer.

"Buy all the chapters, Sis, hi-hi." Oka grinned widely at the cashier. For a moment, the cashier's sister was very pretty, her face very sweet, her kawaii, which was younger than him again. Oka almost wanted to have a crush (even though he had never felt in love, except with anime characters, that was an exception). Oka had never seen the cashier's sister before, she seemed to be a new employee.

The cashier was a little surprised, "Wow, you bought a lot. Tensura anime fan, huh?" She asked kindly.

"Yeah, I am, he-he." Oka answered briefly while scratching his head that wasn't itchy.

"Well, I'm the same, Bro. Love Tensura anime too. Although the anime is mostly meetings," the cashier's sister admitted, smiling sweetly.

"Oh, really?" Oka's face turned red at that, and he smiled.

"But the meeting in Tensura anime is good, the meeting is not just official nonsense, the people are also prosperous, and the government is advanced. Unlike our government, aha-ha ...." The cashier sister joked a little, laughing crisply.

"Um, yes, he-he," Oka replied, also laughing crisply.

In his boarding room, Oka was busy reading the manga he had bought. He kept reading them, from noon until late at night.

"Hooof ..., finally finished too." Oka yawns, finishes reading, then immediately falls asleep, brug, his body collapses onto the mattress. Falling asleep (z-z-z...).

In a day, Oka can finish 200 volumes of manga.
