Chapter 112-113-114

Chapter 112: "Promoting Drink Sprinter"

It was a Saturday night, and Derek was behind the wheel as they drove through the bright streets of Los Angeles. In the backseat, Kylie and Kendall were chatting excitedly about the event they were headed to. They were all looking radiant, dressed to the nines for the event, in outfits that combined style and elegance, ready to impress. Their destination was an exclusive club downtown, where Kylie would be promoting her beverage brand, Drink Sprinter.

"It's going to be amazing, Kyles," Kendall said, adjusting her hair in the rearview mirror. "The club is rocking, and all the right people are going to be there. This is going to be a great opportunity for Drink Sprinter."

"Yeah, I'm so excited!" Kylie replied, smiling. "Besides, having you and Derek with me makes it even better."

Derek smiled slightly from the front seat. He was never one to get involved in the Kardashian-Jenner family's fashion and business events, but he was always willing to support Kylie and Kendall. And with the success of Drink Sprinter, he knew how much this night meant to Kylie.

"I'm sure it'll be a hit," Derek said, keeping his eyes on the road. "Your drink is already taking over the market, and this kind of event will only increase brand awareness."

"And you'll be the perfect bodyguard for both of us," Kendall joked, giving Derek an amused glance in the rearview mirror.

"Someone has to keep you guys out of trouble, right?" Derek replied with a smile.

The club, luxurious and modern, was the perfect place for an event like this. When they arrived, there was already a line outside, but of course, they didn't have to wait. As soon as the car pulled up in front of the entrance, the flashes started going off, and photographers crowded around. Kylie and Kendall stepped out of the car in style, posing briefly for the cameras, while Derek followed, keeping a low profile but keeping a close eye on them.

The atmosphere inside the club was vibrant. Neon lights lit up the space, giving it a sophisticated and modern feel. Electronic music thumped in the background, and a crowd of influencers, celebrities, and business people mingled, eagerly awaiting Kylie and Kendall's arrival.

Kylie was immediately greeted by the event organizers, who led her to the main area of the club, where a large Drink Sprinter display was being set up. There was an impressive table with several bottles of the drink on display, surrounded by bright lights and flashy banners with the brand's logo.

"Wow, this looks amazing!" Kendall exclaimed, looking around. "People are going to go crazy for this."

"Yeah, they did an amazing job with the decor," Kylie agreed, approaching the table to inspect the details. "I want everything to be perfect tonight."

Derek watched closely as Kylie interacted with guests, explaining her vision for Drink Sprinter and how she wanted the drink to represent something modern, refreshing and sophisticated. Several influencers approached to take photos with the drink, and social media quickly began to explode with images from the event.

Kendall, ever the sociable one, also did her part, chatting with industry insiders and helping to promote the brand. She knew how important it was to have a good presence at these events and was fully involved.

In a quieter moment, while Kylie was busy talking to an investor, Kendall approached Derek.

"So, are you having fun?" she asked, smiling.

"It's different from what I'm used to, but it's interesting," Derek replied, looking around the club. "And it's always nice to see Kylie's work getting more attention."

"Yeah, she worked really hard for it," Kendall agreed. "I think sometimes people don't realize how much she puts in. It all looks glamorous on the outside, but she really puts her heart into everything she does."

Derek nodded. He knew how driven and passionate Kylie was about her projects. He saw it every day at home, from small business meetings to major decisions about the direction of the brand.

Later that night, it was Kylie's turn to take the stage to give a short speech. She looked flawless, holding a bottle of Drink Sprinter as the spotlight fell on her.

"Good evening, everyone!" she began, smiling at the crowd. "I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight to celebrate the success of Drink Sprinter. When I created this brand, I wanted something that represented the youthful, innovative, and refreshing spirit that we all strive for. And I couldn't be more proud of where we've come from. Thank you all for your support!"

Applause filled the club, and Kylie stepped off the stage with a beaming smile on her face. Derek watched her with pride. He knew how much this moment meant to her, and seeing the success of the brand being celebrated in this way was a personal and professional victory.

After the speech, Kylie and Kendall went back to interacting with the guests. Derek stayed close to them, making sure everything went smoothly. The night went on, and the event was clearly a success. People kept praising the drink, taking pictures and posting them on their social networks, which only increased the hype around the brand.

In a moment of pause, Kylie approached Derek, holding a glass of Drink Sprinter.

"You're quiet, love. How are you finding everything?" she asked, leaning against the bar next to him.

Derek smiled and shrugged.

"I think it's amazing. You really created something special, Kylie. I'm proud of you."

She smiled, touched by his words, and took a small sip of her drink.

"I couldn't have done any of this without you by my side," she said softly. "You support me in everything, and that means the world to me." Derek took her hand, giving it a light squeeze.

"I'll always be here for you," he replied firmly.

Kylie smiled before walking away to attend to a few more guests, while Derek watched her from afar, feeling content knowing that he was by her side for every important moment.

As the night wore on, the event continued to attract more attention, with celebrity guests arriving and more photos being taken. Kylie and Kendall took turns interacting with attendees, ensuring that the brand was the center of attention. Drink Sprinter was clearly establishing itself as a successful brand, and this event was just another step in the right direction.

When the night finally began to wind down, Kylie returned to Derek's side, exhausted but happy.

"It was an absolute success," she said, resting her head on his shoulder. "I couldn't be happier with how it turned out."

"You deserve it," Derek replied, putting his arm around her. "Now we can go home and relax." Kendall, who also looked exhausted, joined them.

"I think tonight was a big milestone for Drink Sprinter," she said. "Everyone was talking about it."

Kylie smiled, satisfied.

"And there's still a lot more to come."

With that, they left the club together, ready to face the next challenges, knowing that the night had been a huge success for the brand and for Kylie.

Chapter 113: "A Family Day Out"

It was a sunny morning, perfect for a day outdoors. Derek and Kylie had decided that after all the hustle and bustle of recent events and commitments, they needed some family time, away from the cameras and responsibilities. Today would be a day dedicated entirely to Stormi and Aire, a time to disconnect and enjoy each other's company.

While Kylie finished preparing a few things in the kitchen, Derek was in the garden with Stormi and Aire, arranging toys on the lawn. He had set up a small inflatable pool and scattered summer toys around the garden. Stormi, at four years old, ran excitedly around Derek, laughing loudly.

"Daddy! Look, I can run fast!" Stormi exclaimed, as she ran circles around him, her curls blowing in the wind.

Derek laughed, watching his energetic daughter.

"You're so fast, I think you'll beat Daddy in a race!" — he replied, bending down to her level.

Stormi smiled broadly and stopped for a second, as if considering the competition.

"I'll run even faster!" she shouted, running again, this time towards the small pool.

Aire, just one year old, was on Derek's lap, watching her sister with curious little eyes. He couldn't run like Stormi yet, but he was attentive to everything around him, babbling sounds and smiling as he watched.

"I think Aire wants to play too, Stormi!" Derek said, trying to keep little Aire entertained while holding the baby tightly.

"He can come to the pool with me!" Stormi replied excitedly. "I'll take care of him, Daddy, don't worry."

Kylie finally appeared in the garden, carrying a basket with some snacks. She was wearing a light summer dress and had a peaceful smile on her face when she saw Derek and the children so involved in the game.

"You guys are making a great mess here," Kylie commented as she placed the basket on a table near the pool. "I brought some snacks for when you get tired."

Derek stood up with Aire in his arms and walked over to Kylie, giving her a quick kiss.

"Looks like we're going to need this sooner than we expected," he joked as Aire kicked her legs, wanting to get loose and play too.

Kylie smiled as she watched Stormi jump into the inflatable pool. "I love it when we have days like this," she said softly, looking at Derek. "Just the four of us, no commitments, no rush."

Derek nodded, feeling the same. "This is what we need. With so much going on, sometimes we forget to enjoy these little moments," he said as he bent down to place Aire in the pool next to Stormi.

Stormi immediately started splashing Aire lightly, making the baby giggle loudly. Kylie sat on the edge of the pool, stretching her arms out to play with the children.

— Aire is having so much fun! — Kylie laughed, as Aire waved her little hands in the water.

Derek sat next to Kylie, watching the two children play together.

"These moments are the best," he commented, with a calm smile on his face. "They grow up so fast, and soon, Stormi will be asking to drive a car."

Kylie laughed, shaking her head.

"I don't know if I'm ready for that," she said jokingly. "But let's enjoy it while they still want to play in the pool with us."

Stormi, who was busy with an inflatable toy, looked at her parents and exclaimed:

"Mommy, daddy, come in the pool too!"

Derek looked at Kylie and shrugged.

"I guess we don't have a choice," he said, standing up and, in one quick movement, jumping into the small inflatable pool, splashing water everywhere.

Stormi laughed, and even Aire let out an excited squeal when she saw her father join in the fun.

"Derek!" — Kylie said, laughing as she tried to dodge the water.

"Now you have to get in too," Derek said, looking at Kylie with a mischievous smile.

Kylie laughed, but carefully entered the pool, sitting next to the children. With the whole family gathered in the small pool, the atmosphere was pure fun. Derek started to playfully splash Stormi and Aire, and the two children laughed non-stop.

"Daddy, you're so funny!" Stormi said, still laughing as she tried to protect herself from the splashing water.

"You guys are funnier," Derek replied, laughing along with them.

Kylie watched the scene with a loving smile. Seeing Derek having fun with the children always made her happy. He was a dedicated and loving father, and moments like this made her feel even more connected to her family.

After playing for a while, the children began to get tired. Aire yawned, and Stormi leaned on Derek's shoulder, already showing signs of sleep.

"I think it's time for a break," Kylie suggested, getting out of the pool and grabbing a towel to wrap around Aire.

Derek nodded, picking up Stormi, who was already dozing off.

"Let's get these little ones some rest," he said as he walked toward the house.

Inside the house, Kylie placed Aire in her crib while Derek took Stormi to her room. After changing the children and making sure they were comfortable, they returned to the living room, where they sat on the couch.

"They had a great time today," Kylie commented, stretching out on the couch next to Derek.

"And so did we," he said, wrapping his arm around her. "We need to do this more often."

Kylie nodded, resting her head on Derek's shoulder.

"Yes, days like these are special," she said softly. "That's when I realize how blessed I am to have you and our children."

Derek smiled and kissed the top of Kylie's head.

"We're all blessed to have each other," he replied.

The rest of the day was uneventful. Derek and Kylie enjoyed the quiet while the children rested. They talked about life, their future plans, and how they wanted to continue raising Stormi and Aire in a loving and safe environment.

When Stormi and Aire woke up, the cycle of play and laughter began again, and the house was full of life once again. The day flew by, but every second was cherished by the family. As night fell, when Stormi and Aire were asleep in their beds, Derek and Kylie sat together in the garden, watching the stars.

"This was one of the best days we've ever had," Kylie said, holding Derek's hand.

"I agree," he replied. "And we'll have many more like it."

Kylie smiled, feeling grateful for everything they had built together. The love they shared and the joy they felt watching their children grow were the greatest rewards they could ask for.

Chapter 114: "13 Hours of Hidden Truths"

It was a sunny, calm afternoon at Kris Jenner's house. Kylie and Derek were enjoying some quality time with Kylie's sisters, sitting around the large living room, chatting and laughing. Kris, ever the perfect hostess, had prepared a variety of snacks and drinks, and everyone was relaxing, enjoying each other's company.

"What are we doing today?" Khloé asked, as she picked up a glass of wine. "It's been a while since we watched a good movie together."

Kendall, who was sitting next to Kylie and Derek, leaned forward, excited at the idea.

"How about we watch 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi? I've been wanting to see that movie again for a while. It's full of action, and I'm always fascinated by the real story behind it all.

Derek, who had been calm until then, raised his eyebrows at the suggestion. He knew exactly what the film was about—the operation in Benghazi, Libya, during the attack on the US diplomatic compound in 2012. That wasn't just cinematic fiction to him; he personally knew some of the operators who were there.

"13 Hours, huh?" Derek commented, with a thoughtful tone. "That movie always gets to me... Not only because of what it shows, but also because of what it doesn't tell."

Kendall looked at him curiously.

"Have you ever met anyone who was there?" she asked, knowing that Derek's career had many connections to the world of special operations.

Derek nodded, crossing his arms as he remembered the conversations he had with those involved.

"Yes, I knew some of the operators who were in Benghazi. Jack Silva and Tanto, for example. They're incredible guys, top-notch professionals. And I also met the CIA station chief at the compound. It was a complicated situation, and honestly, the government and the station chief made big mistakes that day.

Everyone in the room's interest immediately peaked. Kylie, who had heard a few stories about Derek's involvement with special operators, looked at him with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"What do you mean, honey?" she asked softly.

Derek sighed and began to explain.

"The decision not to send immediate help came from the CIA station chief. They had trained personnel and weapons on site, ready to intervene and protect the ambassador and other staff, but the chief hesitated... He didn't want to authorize intervention until he had more clarity on what was happening. But in situations like this, every minute is crucial."

Kylie's sisters were completely immersed in the story, and even Kris, who until then had been distracted by some text messages on her cell phone, was now paying full attention.

"What happened to the ambassador?" Kim asked, already knowing part of the story, but wanting to hear Derek's side of the story.

— Ambassador Stevens was killed during the attack on the compound. He and three other Americans lost their lives that night. And the worst part is that if the station chief and the American government had acted faster, perhaps they could have been saved. — Derek paused for a moment, his voice growing heavier. — It's one of those situations where leadership failures cost lives.

Kendall looked at Derek with wide eyes.

"So, the movie is more of a warning than an entertainment, huh?" she commented, her excitement fading a little.

Derek nodded.

"Yes, the action part of the movie is real. What the operators did to protect those under attack was heroic. They faced a massive enemy force and held their position for hours, without support. But there's a big difference between what the public sees and what really happened behind the scenes. The movie doesn't show all the inefficiency and lack of communication that caused this tragedy."

Kylie placed her hand on Derek's leg, feeling the weight of his words.

"It must be hard for you to talk about this, knowing that you knew some of the guys who were there," she said, her expression showing concern.

"Yeah," he said, calming down. "But it's important for people to know the truth. The government failed, and many lives were lost because of it. Operators like Jack and Tanto are heroes, but they shouldn't have been put in that situation in the first place."

Kim glanced at the TV screen, where the movie was about to start, and turned to Derek.

"So, what do you think of the movie itself? Is it accurate? Or is it just another dramatized Hollywood story?"

Derek smiled slightly, adjusting himself on the couch.

"Look, Hollywood does what they do best: they make everything more dramatic, more intense. But in this case, they captured the tension and heroism of the operators on the ground well. Sure, they take some creative liberties here and there, but the essence of what happened is there. What they don't show is how much dirty politics surrounded the event, and how bureaucracy can get away with it."

Kendall grabbed the remote, ready to start the movie.

"Well, now I'm curious to see it from this new perspective," she said, turning on the TV.

The movie started, and everyone fell silent, immersed in the tension of the narrative. As the combat scenes unfolded, Derek watched, occasionally commenting on what was real or exaggerated. He pointed out the moments of bravery of the operators, highlighting how well the film captured the camaraderie and the desperate fight for survival.

Kylie, sitting next to him, watched his reaction closely. She knew that these stories touched Derek in a different way, since he had lived through so many similar situations.

At the end of the movie, when the scenes of the real heroes of Benghazi appeared, there was a deep silence in the room. The images of the real operators, along with their stories, left everyone emotional. Even Kendall, who had started the movie excited, now seemed more serious, understanding better what was behind the action.

— These guys deserve all the respect in the world — Derek said, breaking the silence. — They were there to protect, even when their government abandoned them. That's real courage.

Kendall looked at him and nodded.

— Thank you for sharing this, Derek. It's important to know the reality behind these stories.

Kim, Khloé and Kris also agreed, visibly impacted by what they heard and watched. That wasn't just another action movie; for them, it was a lesson in the sacrifices that many people make in the name of duty and patriotism.

— It's incredible to think about what these people go through and what they're capable of doing — Kylie commented, still thoughtful. — I don't think I'll ever watch this kind of movie the same way after hearing all that.

Derek smiled, hugging her affectionately.

— That's the point — he replied. — It's never just a movie.
