"…Nikolai, it's you," Leonid muttered, trying to gather himself as his thoughts immediately scattered in his mind.
He had been practicing and composing his words of what to tell and ask the prince.
"yes, it's me. What are you doing here? I saw that you're staring at the café, do you want to go in?"
Leonid glanced at the café across the road, reading the 'close' signage on the door then back to the prince, "But…they're close today."
Prince Nikolai walked closer to him and put his arm around Leonid's shoulder. "No problem. Come with me, I'm actually heading there, and I saw you."
Just as Nikolai was about to walk away, Leonid stopped him. He hesitated for a moment, reluctant to say anything at first.
"Why?" Nikolai asked as he watched him struggle internally. "Oh, is your arm alright now? I'm sorry, I'm part of the fault for why it happened," he added, a little remorseful.
