Chapter 7 Fancy Hovel

Once I was sure that the Army killing rune was doing its job correctly and the two rune clusters didn't need any extra help collecting the materials that were falling to the ground, I walked over to the pile of gathered materials that was steadily growing larger, three pulsing silver runes floating behind me.

'Ok, now I just need to plan/figure out how I am going to use this wood. I vaguely remember that wood needs to be dried and flattened to be used as a floor, but with the compression rune and extraction rune I have, that shouldn't be a problem. I probably should have measured out where I was going to do this in the cave.' I thought, a small frown appearing on my face.

"Fuck it, ill just carry this stuff to the cave and figure it out there," I muttered to myself, erasing two of the floating runes that had been floating behind me.

(20 Min Later)

Once all the materials had been gathered into their separate piles, I dismissed the gathering runes and army killing runes, making sure that particular rune was erased for good. With the knowledge that had been placed in my head, I had 'memories' of what could happen if a rune was partially erased and them causing havoc if not dealt with properly.

After the three runes disappeared I enlarged the last two that had been hovering behind me, and summoned another smaller rune with but a thought. As I guided the runes together to make another rune matrix I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face as I once more squealed in delight.

"I AM DOING FUCKING MAGIC!!!!"

A few minutes later, I finished the rune matrix, its intricate patterns glowing with a steady blueish-silver hue as I infused it with a small amount of magic. The array flared to life immediately, radiating a soft hum of energy. Using the surplus magic I had on hand, I expanded one of the runes until it hovered beneath the pile of materials, massive and shimmering faintly. I incorporated a stability rune fused with a gravity well into its design, ensuring everything stayed secure, no matter how uneven or rough the journey got. Above the chopped logs, broken branches, and scattered leaves floated the pathweaver rune, glowing faintly as it guided the entire load behind me with ease. It even compressed the pile when necessary, allowing it to slip through the denser parts of the forest without trouble.

As I walked back towards my cave/home, I opened up my inventory to look over the other materials, and the descriptions of them, I had discovered before I found the Pheonixplume trees.

|Notice: You have found 1 Water Lily Rose Bush: The Water Lily Rose Bush produces flowers that gently purify nearby water and give off a calming fragrance. Its presence offers a mild protective aura, deterring minor magical disturbances and creating a peaceful atmosphere.|

|Notice: You have found 1 Springstone: A natural crystal that collects surrounding magic and transforms it into clean, revitalizing spring water, with the water becoming increasingly pure the more potent the magic it absorbs.

|Notice: You have found 1 Venomfrond: A dark, leathery fern that emits a faint, toxic aura. Its venom becomes more potent in the presence of purer magic or concentrated poisons, adapting to its surroundings. Venomfrond can be used in crafting traps or potions that harness its toxicity, though it requires careful handling due to its unpredictable and dangerous nature. It can also be used to create antidotes specifically designed to counteract magical or venomous toxins.|

Oh yeah, that last one captured my attention as I had run by it in my nundu form, it was producing the faintest of faint toxins but it definitely intrigued my nundu senses.

A few hours later I finally made it back to my cave and began to make my hovel.

First I canceled the rune cluster holding everything together as it fell to the ground with a thump. Now I just have to make these logs into planks and then turn them into planks. As well as drain some of the moisture out of them.

Once again I started to draw out the rune for the Carnage Saw rune with one hand, with my other hand I drew a smaller rune that looked like a large S that was smushed together with the symbol for a beaker in my previous world. As soon as it was completed, the rune expanded to cover all the logs that I had brought back with me. Once it had covered every inch of the logs, little droplets of moisture started to rise of them. It almost looked like it was slowly raining in reverse.

Nodding to myself I once again focused on the other rune I had been tracing in the air. It was a bit smaller than the one I had made to cut down the trees, but just as deadly.

'Well, this is going to take a while, as I glanced back at the moisture slowly being collected from the trees. I may as well add some more runes to the saw so I can do something else.' I thought as I went over the other runes I had learned.

A few minutes later I was drawing 6 more runes, adding a deletion rune to the saw and moisture colectuion runes. As well as a completion rune to both as well. The completion rune was usually used in golems when given a task, the rune would let the matrix controlling the golem that its task had been fulfilled and it wouldnt continue to work even if its task had completed.

For the Moisture Collection rune matrix, I made the completion rune tell the deletion rune to delete the matrix once 80% of the moisture had been sucked out of the logs. As for the Carnage Saw rune, I set the task so that it would begin slicing the logs into equal lengths and sizes once the moisture rune had deleted itself. Once it had completed its task it would delete itself as well. Just for safety I also made an observer rune to watch both rune matrices, if they strayed from their tasks it would deploy the final rune I had made, a magic collection rune which I powered with my hellfire magic. It would take less than a second to contain and destroy the carnage saw rune if it strayed from its designated task.

I watched the moisture rune matrix, the carnage saw rune matrix and the observer matrix floated beside me for a few minutes before I went back into the cave and tried to find a nice area to make my hovel.

(4 Hours Later)

"FUCK THIS, FUCK THIS TASK AND FUCK YOU!!!!" I screamed in the air.

Looking at what I had tried to create, I sat down on my luscious bubble butt and placed my head in between my legs in depression…well, I tried to, but my huge bust got in the way.

'Sigh, this is never going to happen, some people arent made out to build things. I shore as aint.

(30 Minutes Later)

'I do have another lottery ticket, maybe it will give me a instant house or something.' I thought with a depressed sigh as I opened up my inventory.
