The Awkwardness

Ginny had shared meals with Cass countless times before.

Those lunches usually started innocently enough—Cass devouring his food at lightning speed while she tried to enjoy hers at a more reasonable pace. But it never stayed innocent. Inevitably, Cass's chopsticks would hover over her plate, his grin mischievous as he made a show of sneaking a piece of her food.

"Cass." she'd warn, slapping his hand.

"Just one bite." he'd reply, already snatching a dumpling or a piece of sushi before she could stop him.
