**Chapter 65: The Deed to the City-Center Estate of the Underground Secret Base**
While Su Yu was deeply immersed in completing the main storyline within the game, events were unfolding in the real world.
In an underground secret base located in the west of Tokai City, the bodies of the Skrull warriors slain by Su Yu had been transported here. The corpses were now submerged in a pale green solution, brimming with life energy, their lifeless forms connected to numerous tubes of varying thicknesses.
Eight or nine biologists, all in white lab coats, busily worked around the body. They were drawing blood, collecting samples, and running various tests, all with an air of urgency. For these scientists, this was the first opportunity humanity had ever had to study alien life forms from Blue Star, and their excitement was palpable. Some couldn't contain themselves, their hands shaking with anticipation as they handled the samples.
On the second floor of the base, Zhong Feng, also known as 'Snow Leopard,' stood at the railing, watching the commotion below. Dressed in a formal suit, he gazed thoughtfully at the Skrull corpse as biologists swarmed it, collecting data.
In his hand, Zhong Feng held an 8K high-definition photograph, clearly showing Su Yu's daring leap from the Muyun Building. The photo captured him in mid-air, shattering the glass as he made his escape, his Ultraman mask distinct even in the blur of motion.
A composed yet strikingly handsome woman, wearing a crisp military uniform, approached him on the second floor. She stopped at his side, her movements sharp and purposeful.
"Xue Wenli, how is the data collection going?" Zhong Feng asked without turning, addressing the woman by name.
Xue Wenli, his new deputy, had been assigned to him by Political Commissar Zhang. Initially, Zhong Feng had been reluctant to work with her. Xue Wenli was notorious for her fiery temper, often outmatching the men around her in stubbornness and intensity. But the resources promised by the commissar were too good to refuse, forcing Zhong Feng to accept her as his second-in-command.
"The data collection will take a few more hours," Xue Wenli responded coolly, flipping through the preliminary report in her hands. "We won't have any results until then."
"Understood," Zhong Feng said, nodding. A moment later, he raised the photograph in his hand. "Have you identified the person in this photo?"
Xue Wenli's expression remained impassive as she answered, "Yes. That's why I came to see you. We've identified him using big data analytics."
"His name is Su Yu, a 23-year-old male who works for Muyun Company. Earlier today, he went to their building to finalize his resignation."
She went on to provide a summary of Su Yu's life. At the end, she added, "From all the information we've gathered, he appears to be an ordinary individual, aside from his good looks."
"Interesting." Zhong Feng looked thoughtful.
After a moment of silence, he said, "I think there's more to this Su Yu than meets the eye. Go and meet him this afternoon. I have a feeling he might be connected to something... unusual."
Zhong Feng's mind wandered back to a conversation he'd had with Senior Zhang Jiao, who had hinted at the resurgence of ancient masters. "See if he has any lingering memories from past lives or any traces of ancient power," he added.
"What about you?" Xue Wenli asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Me? I need to log back into the game," Zhong Feng said with a wry smile. "I've been out in the real world for too long today. If I don't go online soon, I'll lose my progress."
Xue Wenli nodded, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Alright, I'll meet him this afternoon. I wouldn't mind seeing if he has any special abilities."

Back in the game, Su Yu had just completed the fifth quest of the main storyline, *[Glory of the Gorse Empire]*.
Bringing the evidence, *[Count Sintis's Ledger]*, back to No. 19 Burglet Street, Su Yu handed it over to Kelderon, the royal guard.
"Well done, adventurer!" Kelderon praised him, beaming as he reviewed the damning entries in the ledger. "With this evidence, Count Sintis is as good as dead. I guarantee it!"
"And my reward?" Su Yu asked, feeling a bit exasperated. He had been working hard for Kelderon, but instead of focusing on defending the city from the imminent threat of rebels, Kelderon seemed more concerned with using this opportunity to settle personal scores with political rivals.
With men like this, it was no wonder the Plantagenet royal family had been struggling to hold on to power.
"Patience, adventurer," Kelderon said, his smile growing wider. "You'll be well rewarded. Just wait here."
Kelderon retreated to his bedroom, returning moments later with a roll of parchment in hand.
"This is for you!" he announced. "I've decided to reward you with my house."
At that moment, a game notification appeared before Su Yu:
**Ding! Congratulations on completing the quest *[Glory of the Gorse Empire (5/100)]***
**Reward: [Deed of No. 19 Burglet Street] x1, EXP x2000**
Su Yu's eyes gleamed with excitement. The reward was far better than he had expected.
Kelderon's home was situated in the bustling heart of Plantagenet City. It was a sprawling three-story villa, complete with a massive courtyard that stretched across several hundred square meters. In the current expansion, the house might not hold much strategic value, but in the next expansion, when Plantagenet City was rebuilt, its worth could skyrocket. Su Yu estimated that it could easily sell for hundreds of thousands of psionic coins!
Clearly, Kelderon had given him this property in a rush, perhaps not realizing its true value. If he had more time, Su Yu was certain Kelderon wouldn't have offered such a generous reward.
"Thank you," Su Yu said with a grin as he accepted the deed.
"You've earned it, adventurer," Kelderon replied with a hearty laugh. "A house is a small price to pay for the help you've given me."
"When I leave Plantagenet City, I'll make sure you get the key. It's all yours." Kelderon clapped Su Yu on the shoulder.
In Kelderon's eyes, the royal family was doomed. The rebels would likely win, and the deeds issued by the royals would be rendered worthless, mere scraps of paper. So, he didn't feel bad about handing the deed to Su Yu.
"Now," Su Yu continued, "can you introduce me to Her Royal Highness?"
"Of course," Kelderon agreed. "Tomorrow, when I'm on duty, I'll bring you to meet her. Just show up at the gates of the palace with the village chief's letter. However, I can't guarantee she'll agree to see you."
As Kelderon spoke, another notification appeared in Su Yu's quest log:
**Ding! Main Storyline Updated: *[Glory of the Gorse Empire (6/100)]***
**Quest Objective: Arrive at the gates of the Gorse Palace within 2 hours. Countdown: 1:59:58**
**Quest Reward: EXP x200**
Due to the compressed game version, one in-game day was equivalent to two real-world hours. Thus, while Kelderon mentioned "tomorrow," Su Yu only had two hours to reach the palace gates.
Su Yu nodded. He had been working on tasks for Kelderon for what felt like four hours. From Kelderon's perspective, it must have seemed as though Su Yu had spent two full days assisting him, which explained the guard's newfound warmth.
With his next steps clear, Su Yu prepared to make his way to the palace.
