Chapter-14
After walking for about 30 minutes, Adwin finally noticed the squarecut town from a distance.
The town was built upon barren land and many beggers are sitting at it's entrance asking for food.
There is a big sign in front of the town on which the name of the town is written in capital letters, 'SQUARECUT: KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR YOUR LIFE.'
"That's a fair warning for a non-fair town." Adwin spoke with a smile as he walked upto the Squarecut town's entrance and suddenly, all the beggars sitting on it's entrance grabbed his feet.
"Sir, Please bless me with something to eat."
"Sir, Please give me something to eat... I haven't eaten anything for the past few days."
"Oh great man... Please bless me with some food."
...
"Leave my legs at once or I will shoot you in the head." Adwin spoke as he grabbed his gun and placed it directly in front of their faces.
"N-No... Please don't kill me."
"Please leave me, Sir."
As soon as Adwin pulled his gun out, all the beggars got scared and removed their hands from Adwin's legs.
"Good." Adwin spoke with a neutral expression as he placed the gun on his back once again and started walking forward.
As soon as Adwin entered inside the city he noticed that everyone inside the city is either trying to sell something to someone or they are beating the hell out of someone.
"Hello sir, would you like to buy some dog and cat meat ?" A seller asked as he looked at Adwin with a smile.
"No." Adwin replied with a neutral expression, but suddenly a thought entered in his mind.
He took a step back and noticed a huge pile of small bones lying behind the man.
"Those bones... What do you do with them ?" Adwin asked with a neutral expression.
"Hmm...? These ? Nothing, I will just throw them out. Why ? You need them ?" The shopkeeper asked.
"Yeah-"
"10 copper coins." The shopkeeper spoke immediately.
"Huh ? You said that you are-"
"Look, I am trying to make some money here. If you buy the meat worth 10 coppers, I will give all of the bones to you for free but if you want to take the bones only... Well, pay up." The shopkeeper spoke.
"Wait, Did you just say copper coins ?" Adwin asked with a confused expression.
"Yes... Give me copper coins." The shopkeeper replied.
"Hey, Kid... Are you from a bunker ?" Suddenly, A voice came from behind.
"Hmmm...?" Adwin turned around and noticed three kids same as his age, they were all dressed up in torn clothes and their bodies were stinking.
"Obviously he is from the bunkers, he is wearing those clothes. My dad once brought a dead bunker dweller to our house and he was wearing the same clothes." Another kid replied.
'Hmmm... Well, It was already expected. Since I am wearing this bunker dress and the surface people hates those who lives inside the bunkers.' Adwin thought as he looked at the kids.
"Oi, Bunker dweller... Why don't you give me your uniform ? I haven't worn anything like that." The main bully of the group spoke up.
"What if I don't ? I have a gun and you are bare handed." Adwin replied with a smile.
"Who said we don't have anything ? Look down." The guy who was standing next to the main bully spoke up.
As soon as Adwin looked down he noticed that the guy was pointing his huge ring towards Adwin.
"What's that ? A ring ?" Adwin asked with a confused expression.
"It's a miniature gun, Bunker dweller. Fires only one shot and at a very rapid speed. The bullet will touch your body and explode before you can even grab the handle of the gun you have behind your back.
So, get your clothes off as our boss is saying." The bully spoke with a smile.
"Fine, Fine... You win. I will remove my clothes." Adwin replied with a smile as he started unzipping his dress.
"Hahaha... What can you even expect from a bunker dweller ?"
"Stupid and coward."
"You don't have the slightest idea of how it works in the wild, fucker.
Go and get back inside that bunker and tell them how we-" Before he could've completed his sentence, Adwin removed his jacket and threw it over the side-guy's face.
As soon as the jacket fell over his face... His vision went to zero.
Adwin moved quickly and grabbed his hand with full force as he turned his hand towards the main bully.
"Kaboom..." Adwin spoke with a smile as he pressed his hand tightly and the bullet shot out of the ring.
*Shoot*
"F-Fuc-"
*Booom*
As soon as the bullet pierced through his chest, it exploded creating a big hole in his chest.
*Thud*
"Hey leave-" The guy started speaking as he removed the jacket from his face, but before he could've completed the sentence... Adwin twisted his neck with full power and broke it in a split second.
*CRACK*
*Thud*
Another corpse fell down to the ground and the third bully got so scared that he started peeing in his clothes right in front of Adwin.
"Go away or do you want to die as well ?" Adwin asked with a smile.
"N-Noooooo..." The bully shouted as he immediately ran away like a small rat.
"Yes... So, How much copper coins were you asking for ?" Adwin asked as he pulled out a few copper coins out of the corpse's pockets.
"N-None... Y-You can take the bones for free." The shopkeeper replied with a scared expression as he looked at Adwin.
"Oh, How generous of you. I will take them then. Can you give me a big bag to store them and also can you tell me where can I find some stones or clay ?" Adwin asked with a smile.
"Y-Yes."
