50th entry

Season: Autumn

Weather: Cool, smoky with heavy showers all day.

Day of the week: Friday

Date: 2nd March, 2024

A slap and a kick for being so quick on the second day of the month.

The oppressive heat has been chased away by the cool change. According to the news, the firefighters cheered when the heavens opened up to pour rain down. Now they are praying for the rain to douse all the fires and not stop raining until the last ember has died.

The rains have prevented another township from being eaten up by the blaze and people are celebrating by upping the firefighting efforts to put out the remaining fires as soon as possible. Pray that the wind doesn't change.

The bosses went into the office today, leaving me at home. I packed them lunches but not lunchroom snacks for sharing.

As soon as they left and I had cleaned up the breakfast table, I got stuck back into my online courses. This time, I made sure to take breaks, getting up to eat drink and go to the toilet. I was a good girl today, I was. I even spared some time for dinner prep and put things into the oven so that food would be ready when the boys came home.

Today's lessons were boring, but I have always been a good student. I sped through the boring parts as quickly as possible, completing almost eight modules. Another twelve to go.

The two bosses came home late and so the pasta bake in the oven was a little dry and hard when it came out. The mini apple pies came out perfectly though.

Since some of the suits the bosses have been wearing smell of smoke or have gotten wet, we'll take them to be drycleaned tomorrow. They said they'll take a break from work and take me out for some fun this weekend, now that I seem to be feeling much better. If they're happy with how I'm healing and feeling, maybe I can start going back into the office next week.

How exciting.
