----------
Half an hour had passed since the onboard battle erupted.
As the clash between the two factions grew increasingly fierce, the combat units, initially organized and coordinated by their respective cadres, eventually descended into utter chaos. From the deck to the cabins, from the sea to the skies, flashes of conflict and the sound of clashing powers filled every corner of the battlefield.
The main combatants of the Charlotte Family found themselves locked in an evenly matched struggle against the elite forces of their opponents, unable to break through the stalemate. Even the strongest among them could only assert their dominance within limited circumstances.
Meanwhile, the Royal Court and its auxiliary combat forces rampaged through the ranks of Totto Land's armies, sowing chaos wherever they went.
On Totto Land's side, the Charlotte Oven had already fallen. The towering Smoothie was being relentlessly cornered by Maria in the heat of battle. Daifuku, even with the support of his genie, was steadily pushed back by the combined assault of Sandersonia and Marigold.
Elsewhere, Cracker, Compote, and others found themselves similarly tied up, unable to exert their usual dominance. Even Perospero, who was orchestrating their strategy, was engaged in a precarious confrontation with Laffitte.
Even from afar, the spectators on the Sabaody Archipelago could sense the overwhelming force of the Wanokuni army. The powerful troops of Totto Land were undeniably being crushed under the weight of their adversaries.
The combat prowess of the Charlotte Family seemed unable to turn the tide of this war. Victory for the Wanokuni forces appeared all but certain, though few had anticipated such a decisive outcome.
Then it happened.
BOOM!!!
Out of nowhere, a searing blast descended from the skies, coming from the direction of the sea. Though the attack was quickly intercepted by members of the Wanokuni forces, it left no doubt in anyone's mind: an outsider had entered the fray.
Under the astonished gazes of everyone present, a massive azure dragon appeared, soaring on flaming clouds over the battlefield. Below the dragon marched a horde of fierce pirates, brandishing their weapons.
"It's Kaido of the Beasts!!!"
Panic erupted across the Sabaody Archipelago as the infamous Emperor of the Sea made his grand entrance.
Seizing the moment, Perospero blocked Laffitte's assault with a stream of syrup and shouted at the top of his lungs: "Kaido's army is here to support Mama!!"
The battered forces of Totto Land, their morale on the verge of collapse, turned toward the sea with a renewed glimmer of hope. Reinforcements had arrived.
"That stubborn old man!" Yamato snarled amidst the chaos. Crackling with lightning, her electromagnetic cannons obliterated the hordes of soldiers charging at her. Yet her focus remained locked on the massive dragon above. She could feel it—that attack moments ago had been aimed directly at her.
As the azure dragon loomed in the air, dark storm clouds began to gather behind it. The winds howled, and bolts of lightning raced along Kaido's massive serpentine body, illuminating the battlefield with bursts of dazzling light.
Kaido's piercing gaze swept across the battlefield below, his expression of disdain. To him, the figures waging war on the ground were no more than insignificant ants. His attention lingered briefly on the two intense auras clashing nearby before settling on the blazing lightning below—Yamato's domain.
The sky itself seemed to tremble.
With no warning, Kaido shifted from his dragon form back into his human shape. From high above, he plummeted toward the battlefield, a massive mace gripped tightly in his hands. The air screamed as the wind howled around him, and thunder rumbled in his wake.
"Kosanze Ragnaraku!!"
"Raimei Hakke!!!"
Yamato stood firm, gathering every ounce of her immense Haki. Channeling it into a single, concentrated point, she unleashed a counterstrike, her own thunder roaring against Kaido's blow.
BOOM!
A more devastating impact than the previous clash of Conqueror's Haki erupted from the confrontation!
The area was engulfed in a whirlwind of raging winds and turbulent energy. Countless charred bodies and hapless soldiers were swept into the maelstrom without the slightest resistance.
"As expected of my son, inheriting my talent so completely!" Kaido's voice rumbled with satisfaction as he took in the fierce defiance of his opponent. Yamato's strength, especially at such a young age, brought a face of approval.
But Kaido was nothing if not temperamental. His expression shifted in an instant, satisfaction giving way to anger and disdain.
"Yet despite inheriting my blood, you choose to follow Alex and stand against me?!" Kaido roared, veins bulging as his fury surged. "It seems leaving you in Wanokuni was my biggest mistake!"
The regret that twisted his features only fueled his wrath. With Yamato's mastery of Conqueror's Haki combined with the devastating power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, she had undoubtedly surpassed King. Yet this only deepened Kaido's frustration.
As his fury intensified, Kaido unleashed an even stronger wave of Conqueror's Haki, gradually overwhelming Yamato. Despite her power, the 20-year-old warrior still had a noticeable gap to close compared to Kaido, who had reigned on the seas for decades.
"Stupid old man! Alex is the one I'll follow for the rest of my life!"
"And I won't let a reckless brute like you insult him!"
As Yamato gritted her teeth, gradually being forced back, a sudden figure burst into the clash of Conqueror's Haki. Red high heels slammed against Kaido's iron mace, creating a shockwave that shook the battlefield.
In an instant, an even greater surge of power erupted. The convergence of three Conqueror's Haki users unleashed a phenomenon so fearsome it seemed as if the world itself was trembling.
The sheer might of their auras scattered the dark clouds overhead, and the turbulent sea heaved with colossal waves. The battlefield behind the ships quaked violently, driving soldiers from their footing.
The aftermath swept over distant observers, knocking most of them unconscious. Among the fallen were nearly all of the weaker soldiers who couldn't endure the overwhelming force.
But on the front lines, Yamato and the newcomer joined forces, combining their Haki to counter Kaido's relentless attack.
Zzzzt—BOOM!
A streak of lightning crackled through the air as Yamato suddenly appeared behind Kaido. Her mace, charged with high-voltage electricity, came crashing down on his neck.
Clang!
Kaido didn't dodge. He took the strike head-on, the force driving him to bend forward slightly.
Boom!
Following up, the figure who had intervened—Boa Hancock—closed in with astonishing speed. Her powerful kick struck Kaido square in the abdomen, producing a muffled impact that echoed like clashing metal.
Kaido's defenses, hardened by Haki and as unyielding as diamond, held firm. But against the combination of Conqueror's Haki and advanced Emission, even Kaido couldn't emerge unscathed.
The force of the blows sent him hurtling backward. His massive body slammed through the air before he steadied himself, landing on the deck not far away. As he rose, his body began to heal, his fearsome recovery and awakening powers working rapidly to repair the damage.
Kaido's eyes swept over the two figures standing side by side—Yamato and Hancock. His gaze lingered on the Pirate Empress for a moment longer before he smirked.
"That Alex sure is lucky!"
Meanwhile, aboard the advancing Beast Pirates fleet, Queen stared in disbelief.
"They actually sent the boss flying?! Is this for real?! Yamato, I get—she's the boss's blood—but this woman… she's that strong?!"
Standing nearby, Jack clenched his fists. Memories of sparring with Yamato as children surged back to him, but the gap between them now felt insurmountable.
"That's Boa Hancock, the Emperor of Amazon Lily and one of Alex's Royal Court's trump cards," King said. "Judging by her mastery of Conqueror's Haki, she's far more dangerous than expected."
King's gaze shifted to the Beast Pirates' fleet.
"Prepare to advance!"
