Light and Shadow 22: A New Quest Begins 


Nana smiled, a comforting warmth in her eyes. “I know you will. Now, rest well. You’ll need all your energy for the days ahead,” Nana smiled at me softly. “And do not forget about our reminders too, okay? Your Mimi will visit you soon,” Nana added, her voice filled with warmth. 


With a final smile, she disappeared, leaving me alone in the room. As I sat on the edge of the bed, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. However, a wave of longing suddenly washed over me as I thought about my guardians. 


“I wish they could talk to me sooner too,” I sighed, a pang of longing washing over me. “Especially now that I’m finally here, in the place where they say I truly belong.”
