CHAPTER: 6 YOU MUST PLAY A SPORT

It was a Friday and Friday was for sports in Bright Academy. I had no idea about that and I had not played any form of sports for years. I was a goal keeper in soccer and a volley ball player as well but since I’ve not been doing any for a long while, it would be a bit difficult for me to get back to them as good as I use to be. I first went to the soccer field for tryouts and I passed as a secondary goal keeper. I was really happy with the outcome. I could be part of the club and only be there for training but do nothing most of the time during an actual game of soccer. I was really proud of myself and said well-done to myself as I stood on the field. Clara came up to me and tucked my shirt twice from behind. She was as shy as ever. She asked if I could accompany her to the tennis court. I agreed to accompany her there honestly, she looked so good in her tennis outfit. I could not help but glance at her graceful figure as we walked towards the court. It was right next to the volley ball court and when we got there, I saw her sister. Crystal was really good at volley balls. She was the vice-captain of the school’s volley ball team for the girls. I told myself nothing will ever surprise me about this psycho again as I watched her destroy their opposing team in a friendly match. She played really aggressively but all her moves were well coordinated. Almost like she knew her every opponent’s move before they make them. I was about to walk away when Mike a guy from my chemistry class approached me. He was well known as the school’s biggest heart rob. There have been rumors of girls who have physically assaulted each other over him. These rumors were mostly unconfirmed but from what I’ve seen he is quite good with the ladies. He asked if I wanted to join the male basketball team but I had to turn him down since I knew nothing about the game. I thanked him for the kind invitation though and went on back to the soccer field. When practice was over, I was really happy and could not wait to get to the class room. I headed straight to the washroom first to shower then dress up then off to the class room I went. It felt really great to be back in class and all the running and jumping around the field made me so hungry. I was just waiting for them siren to go off for lunch so I would just go and get something to eat. As I sat waiting for the good news of the siren, Clara threw a sheet to me. She wanted me to wait for her when its lunch time. I was a bit shocked nut I guess I could wait for her. The siren finally went off and I was ready to head out. I turned to look at Clara’s face and she noticed I was giving her a signal for us to head out. Crystal had some club presidents meeting to attend so she could not join us. Clara and I went to the cafeteria together and I ordered for a large quantity of fried rice which made her giggle a bit. I was so hungry I had no eating manners at that moment. I could not help but notice Clara glancing at me sometimes as I ate my food. She was eating the same thing as I was but her in I much gentle manner. When I was done, I rubbed my hand over my belly and rested my back on the chair. Clara was now half way through her food so I ordered some drinks as I waited for her. Mike walked over to our table with his friends Jessey and Jorden. They were also another set of twins in my class. They were often referred to as J and J by everyone. Clara begun to feel uncomfortable at the moment so I ordered two bottles of orange juice and a bottle of soda water then got up and left the place with Clara. As we walked towards the class, she said thank you to me as she looked down at her shoe. She wore glasses even when she had no eye problems which was a bit shocking to me but I did not ask her why. She asked if I would like to join the tennis club. I told her I was not good at tennis but she offered to teach me. I was not really happy with the prospect of joining another club but for her sake I accepted to join the club. She raised her head to look me straight in the eyes and I guess I could see why she wore glasses whenever she went out.
