The Smell of the Alcohol

Chapter 096 The Smell of Alcohol

"What's that smell?!" Aruna exclaimed as she opened the door for Ardan that morning, around five o'clock.

"Sorry, Run..." Ardan replied briefly before hurrying into the bathroom.

Aruna frowned as she saw her husband return with a disheveled body and clothes, plus the overpowering smell of alcohol assaulting her nostrils.

Her heart pounded loudly—but this time, it was because she felt extremely, extremely angry at the smell of alcohol clinging to her husband.

"Run, please get a towel!" Ardan called from inside the bathroom.

Aruna did not answer but quickly went to fetch the towel Ardan had asked for and handed it to him.

After Ardan came out of the bathroom, Aruna immediately inspected him; she saw that the clothes Ardan had worn had already been washed clean by her during his shower earlier.

"Erasing the evidence!" Aruna muttered with a very angry face, while roughly tossing aside the laundry that had merely been left out to dry.
