Chapter 14 :The Duties and Hierarchy of Angels

Samuel sat on the edge of a floating island, the skies of the training dimension stretching endlessly before him. It was beautiful—breathtaking, even—but his mind wasn't on the view. He had spent days training under Selaphiel's guidance, but he still didn't fully understand his purpose as an angel.

His new existence felt like stepping into a world far greater than he had ever imagined. He had wings now, power beyond human comprehension, and yet, he felt like a child fumbling through something he could barely grasp.

Selaphiel stood beside him, her golden hair moving slightly in the celestial wind. "You've come a long way," she said, arms crossed. "But before we continue your training, you need to understand what it actually means to be an angel."

Samuel turned to her. "I thought it just meant fighting demons and answering prayers."

She chuckled. "It's much more than that. Angels have five primary duties in the human realm. Listen carefully, because understanding them is just as important as mastering your abilities."

She raised a finger. "The first duty is Guardianship. Some angels are assigned to protect specific individuals, particularly those chosen by the Heavenly Father or those with great faith. These humans are watched closely, shielded from demonic attacks and unforeseen dangers. But—" she gave him a pointed look "—we are not allowed to interfere beyond our orders. If a human chooses to walk a dark path, we cannot force them back."

Samuel nodded slowly, processing her words. "So we can protect, but we can't control free will."

"Exactly." She lifted a second finger. "The second duty is Deliverance. Some angels answer prayers and intervene when necessary. Not all prayers receive immediate answers—some never do—but when they align with the Father's will, we act."

Samuel frowned. "That sounds… selective."

Selaphiel nodded. "It is. Mortals often think they're ignored, but sometimes the answer is simply 'not yet' or 'there's a greater purpose at play.'"

She continued, lifting a third finger. "The third duty is Messengership. Some angels are sent to deliver divine messages—visions, dreams, prophecies, or direct communication. These angels rarely fight. Their purpose is to ensure the Father's words reach those who need them."

Samuel's mind flashed to the stories of prophets receiving messages from angels. "So those visions in the Bible—angels really did deliver them?"

"Yes."

She lifted her fourth finger. "The fourth duty is Spiritual Warfare. This is what most people associate with angels. We battle demons, prevent corruption, and ensure darkness does not overrun the world. This is the duty I specialize in."

Samuel exhaled. He had already experienced combat with demons. The idea of facing more—stronger ones—made his stomach twist.

"And the final duty," she said, lifting her fifth finger, "is Judgment Assistance. When a soul passes on, it must be guided to its rightful place. Angels oversee this process. Some humans believe all souls ascend or descend automatically, but that is not true. We ensure justice is served."

Samuel remained silent, absorbing everything. "So, we're guardians, warriors, messengers, and guides all at once."

Selaphiel smiled. "That's one way to put it."

He exhaled. "And what about ranks? I know there are higher angels, but where do I stand?"

She turned fully to face him, her expression serious. "This is important. Pay close attention."

Samuel sat up straight.

"There are many ranks of angels, each with a different role in the divine order." She counted on her fingers again.

1. Newly Born Angels – "The lowest tier. These angels have yet to earn their first pair of wings."

2. Two-Winged Angels – "Like me. We are the standard angels. Most angels stay at this level."

3. Four-Winged Angels (Supervisors) – "These angels oversee two-winged angels, guiding them and ensuring they fulfill their duties properly."

She smirked. "You already have four wings, which means you'll be one soon."

Samuel blinked. "I… wait, so I'm already above you?"

"For now, you're still in training. But once you're a full-fledged angel, you'll outrank me," she admitted, her tone amused. "Try not to let it get to your head."

Samuel shook his head. "That's… a lot of pressure."

She continued.

4. Six-Winged Angels (Keepers of Order) – "These angels are immensely powerful and serve directly under the Heavenly Father. They maintain divine law."

5. Eight-Winged Angels (Commanders) – "They lead supervisors and all angels below them."

6. Ten-Winged Angels – "Disciples of the Twelve-Winged Angels. They learn under them to prepare for higher responsibilities."

7. Twelve-Winged Angels – "These angels serve as divine champions, taking direct orders from the Heavenly Father."

8. Fourteen-Winged Angels (Seraphim) – "The highest order. They are the closest to the Father."

Samuel exhaled. "So, an angel becomes an Archangel when their sixth pair of wings starts growing?"

Selaphiel nodded. "Correct. And when they reach twelve wings, they become divine champions."

Samuel was quiet for a moment. "And… can angels change ranks?"

"They can," she said. "But it's rare. Most remain at their given rank. You, however, are different."

He rubbed his forehead. "No pressure…"

Selaphiel chuckled before adding, "Unlike what mortals think, angels aren't just warriors. We have culture, we can marry, and we can have children."

Samuel stared at her. "Wait—what?"

She laughed. "Yes. We can have families. The process of birth isn't painful, and our children inherit our divine essence."

"That's… a lot to take in."

Selaphiel's expression darkened slightly. "Just as Heaven has order, so does Hell."

She explained the 72 Pillars of Hell, powerful demons who ruled over lesser demons. Among them was their leader, the Prince of Perdition—Lucifer.

Samuel tensed. "And the demoness I fought?"

"She belonged to the pillar of ascar forneus.

, a demon lord known for corrupting souls and spreading forbidden knowledge."

A heavy silence settled between them.

Samuel finally spoke. "So… what now?"

Selaphiel's eyes glowed faintly. "Now, we prepare. You have much to learn, and there is little time to waste......I should also tell you this you would only see angels with three pairs of wings even if they have more. Although wings signify status it also signifies the amount of power and angel is unleashing. The heavenly father said the realm of mean is to wean to contain one four winged angel and we have thousand talk less of those with more so angels can only unlish three pairs of wings they only unleash it all in front of the heavenly father."

" How would we then differentiate the angels?" Samuel asks

" When you feel their power you'll know." She replies mysteriously
