Upon receiving contact from Tohsaka Rin, Zuke immediately teleported back to her room—bringing Waver along with him.
Originally, he hadn't planned to bring Waver, but Waver insisted, saying he wanted to witness the Holy Grail firsthand so he could have a proper explanation when returning to the Clock Tower. Thus, Zuke relented and brought him along.
"Berserker!"
Tohsaka Rin, who had just finished relaying the message to Zuke, turned around and spotted him. She rushed into his arms and pointed toward Irisviel, who lay on the bed.
"Irisviel… has become like this now."
Hearing this, Zuke turned his gaze toward Irisviel and saw her body convulsing, undergoing visible changes—clearly transforming into the Holy Grail.
He stepped closer and checked her breath and heartbeat. As expected, after harboring the souls of other Heroic Spirits, Irisviel's life signs had completely ceased.
"The Holy Grail War is complete. Next comes the Grail's descent."
Zuke gently picked up Irisviel in a princess carry and looked at Tohsaka Rin.
"The location for the descent is predetermined. It cannot happen here."
Tohsaka Rin immediately understood and quickly stepped forward, grabbing Zuke's hand. Waver followed suit, clutching Zuke's sleeve.
In the next moment, their figures vanished from Tohsaka Rin's room, teleporting to another location.
"Where is this…?"
Waver, unfamiliar with Fuyuki City, looked around in confusion. Although he had scouted the city for the Grail War, his knowledge wasn't thorough enough to recognize the location.
"This is Fuyuki Civic Center, one of the leyline sites for the Grail's descent."
Carrying Irisviel, Zuke walked through the streets. Since it was still some time before dawn, the roads were deserted.
Effortlessly breaking the lock on the Civic Center door, Zuke entered, with Tohsaka Rin and Waver following closely behind.
Once inside the leyline site, Zuke noticed Irisviel's body changing rapidly.
Her once soft form became rigid and began to shrink. Seeing this, Zuke gently placed her on the corridor floor. In a flash of light, Irisviel's body transformed into an ornate golden Holy Grail.
Tohsaka Rin and Waver, who had followed him in, stood in shock as they saw the Grail.
The golden Holy Grail was indeed magnificent, a worthy trophy for the Holy Grail War and something that would easily convince most magi of its authenticity.
"So… that's the Holy Grail?"
Tohsaka Rin covered her mouth in excitement. As a child of the Tohsaka family, she had always been fond of glittering objects, influenced by her family's tradition of gemstone magecraft.
"Does this mean you can use the Grail to make a wish now?"
Waver looked at the Grail in front of Zuke, his tone tinged with envy. He wasn't particularly interested in the Grail's wish-granting capabilities; he had joined the Holy Grail War primarily to prove his own abilities. Still, the Grail's reputation as an "omnipotent wish-granting device" intrigued him.
"Make a wish?"
Zuke sneered. Unlike Rin and Waver, he wasn't fooled by the Grail's reputation.
After all, he had already made several wishes in the Dragon Ball world. By comparison, the Grail's powers seemed insignificant.
Moreover, the wish-granting aspect of the Grail was nothing like what most people imagined.
The Grail housed the concept of "All the World's Evil."
In the previous, Third Holy Grail War, the Einzbern family had summoned the Heroic Spirit "Angra Mainyu," violating the rules.
Though weak in life, Angra Mainyu had been sacrificed by a Zoroastrian village as a scapegoat for all human evil, transforming him into an Anti-Hero of extremes.
His soul polluted the Grail, converting its magical energy into the black mud of "All the World's Evil."
Wishing upon such a Grail might yield results, but the consequences would inevitably be realized in the cruelest manner, often diverging drastically from the wisher's original intent.
Ignoring the naive thoughts of Tohsaka Rin and Waver, Zuke extended his hand and grasped the Grail that had once been Irisviel.
At that moment, the system's prompt rang out.
[Current World: Fate/Zero]
[Main Quest: Obtain the Grail from the Fourth Holy Grail War]
[Player Zuke's Power Synchronization: 100%]
[Please continue advancing the main quest to unlock power synchronization.]
[Congratulations, Player Zuke! You've successfully unlocked 100% synchronization with the Fate/Zero world!]
[You may choose one of the following rewards to bring back to your original world:]
[1. Crest Worms]
[2. Command Seal (one)]
[3. Irisviel von Einzbern]
"Hmm?"
Upon grasping the Grail, the system acknowledged Zuke's completion of the main quest. His synchronization rate reached 100%, unlocking his long-unused "Berserk" ability for transfer to his original world.
However, the accompanying rewards puzzled him.
Crest Worms were out of the question. Zuke had no intention of learning the Matou family's disgusting worm magecraft.
The Command Seal seemed pointless, as Zuke didn't have any Servants in either his original world or other quest worlds.
While a Command Seal could act as a magic crystal to boost his powers slightly, it paled in comparison to the results of training with North Kai.
That left the third option—Irisviel.
Zuke was surprised. Could the system actually create a new Irisviel for him?
Or would it allow him to bring the Grail back instead?
Though none of the rewards were particularly useful, the third option seemed the most intriguing. After all, bringing back either a living person or the Grail itself was far more appealing than the other two choices.
