Time for a New Bed

"Welcome back, Shin Kun~"

The moment Shin returned home, he was greeted by a warm hug from Irisviel.

His head ended up nestled in Irisviel's soft chest, granting him an unexpected experience of being smothered.

Perhaps it was the result of their earlier mana-replenishing session, but the relationship between Shin and Irisviel had grown significantly closer.

Previously, Irisviel had treated Shin with polite gratitude, recognizing him as her savior. But now, she almost regarded him as family.

For a homunculus who had spent most of her life confined to the Einzbern Castle, with no familial bonds other than with Illyasviel, Shin had practically become her second kin.

Though, the term "kin" might carry some unconventional nuances in this case.

"How was today? Did Iris cause any trouble?"

Remaining in Irisviel's embrace, Shin glanced at Sayu Ogiwara standing behind her.

Compared to the uninformed Irisviel, Sayu Ogiwara was clearly the more reliable person to ask.

"No issues. Although Iris was curious about many things, she didn't stir up much trouble," Sayu Ogiwara said with a light smile, indicating that Irisviel had behaved herself.

After all, in the original story, despite Irisviel's lack of worldly knowledge, she didn't cause much chaos while wandering the streets with Artoria.

Shin wasn't too worried about Irisviel or Sayu Ogiwara encountering danger either. Irisviel was infused with his mana and capable of using magic to defend herself if necessary.

"We bought lots of new clothes—such a variety!" Irisviel said, pulling Shin closer, her lips brushing against his ear as she whispered, "I can model them for you tonight."

Raising an eyebrow, Shin glanced at Irisviel's playful smile and Sayu Ogiwara's slightly flushed cheeks.

Though they had already shared a bed with him, Irisviel's open attitude was still unexpected.

It seemed that her lack of common sense only made her more uninhibited after accepting Shin.

But since Irisviel had issued such a bold challenge, it looked like he'd have to teach her a proper lesson tonight.

Healing Angel: "I got an earful from Vignette."

After dinner and a shower, Shin returned to his room and logged into the online game, only to be bombarded with Gabriel's complaints in their private chat.

Her character wore an elaborate white robe adorned with luxurious golden trim, the epitome of a powerful healer.

This was the gear she had purchased with the money from selling the First Horn of Apocalypse—an item she had casually traded for virtual data. Heaven would surely be livid if they knew their top angel had done such a thing.

Interestingly, Shin could have had "Blackbird Red Hot Chilli Pepper" hack into the game servers and modify the data for free.

But to avoid today's potential fallout, he opted to spend real money, which would silence Vignette's scolding more effectively.

Had he simply altered the data, Vignette would likely demand that he restore the game files and return the First Horn of Apocalypse.

By spending actual money, Shin ensured that Vignette wouldn't feel justified in asking for the horn back.

Zuke: "That horn seems quite significant to you all."

Shin understood the horn's true power; he could already manipulate weather through "Blackbird," and at full strength, he could unleash catastrophes capable of wiping out civilizations.

While he knew the horn's capabilities, he played ignorant—it wasn't time to reveal his knowledge of Gabriel and Vignette's origins.

Healing Angel: "It's not important to me, but Vignette thinks it shouldn't fall into anyone else's hands."

Gabriel's response sounded utterly unangelic. Heaven's sheltered upbringing had clearly failed to instill worldly wisdom. Perhaps angels needed to experience a bit of corruption to adapt better.

Healing Angel: "Anyway, I'll probably have to take up more part-time jobs now... So annoying. Can't you just share your money-making methods?"

Shin could almost picture Gabriel's annoyed expression—her punishment for selling the First Horn of Apocalypse was Vignette pushing her to work harder.

Despite her laid-back demeanor, Gabriel truly valued her friendship with Vignette, as they had once both been angels.

Thus, when Vignette insisted, Gabriel couldn't refuse and begrudgingly agreed.

Since money was involved, Gabriel naturally thought of Shin's resources and asked him once again for tips.

Zuke: "Not yet. I'll tell you when the time is right."

Shin chuckled and refused. Gabriel couldn't expect him to hand over answers so easily. It would be better if Vignette used this opportunity to reform her attitude.

After logging off, Shin turned toward the doorway.

This time, it wasn't just Sayu Ogiwara entering the room—Irisviel had joined as well.

Both wore rather revealing outfits, leaving little to the imagination.

Sayu Ogiwara seemed shy, her expression hesitant, while Irisviel, in stark contrast, smiled boldly at Shin, utterly unashamed.

Perhaps the exaggerated mana-replenishing ritual had raised Irisviel's tolerance for such situations.

Glancing at the two women and then at the bed in his room, Shin had a moment of realization.

It wasn't just the bench on the school rooftop that needed replacing—his bed clearly required an upgrade as well.

This prompted Shin to revisit his earlier thoughts of moving. It seemed that relocation might truly be necessary.

His current bedroom wasn't spacious, and a larger bed would severely limit available space.

Since few people knew his current address, moving wouldn't significantly affect his daily life.

Hmm... He'd probably need to inform Megumi Kato, though—she had visited his place before and was familiar with the location.

As Shin was engrossed in his thoughts, he soon drifted into the world of dreams…
