Leon rode ahead on horseback, pausing and starting alongside the carriage.

The forest path opened by the Thorny Flower Family was nearing completion; ever since the wandering Living Corpses around had been periodically exterminated by patrolling Soldier troops, they hadn't encountered any along the way. When the horses' hooves hit the cobblestones of the ancient road, everyone's speed picked up even more.

In the afternoon, after crossing over a mountain col, Leon arrived once again at the Forest City now named "Avalon," which he had christened himself.

He took a familiar route through both the inner and outer city gates. Compared to his previous visits, there were now many more signs of life within Avalon.
