Post-war Longka was still in the midst of fortification construction.
Relieved from the crisis and with ample time and support from the Thorns Flower family, Mr. Brian Sr. busily fortified the simple wooden encampment.
Soldiers and laborers constructed a second layer of walls outside the single-layer wooden ones surrounding the village, filling the space between the inner and outer walls with compacted earth.
Once completed, this place would truly transform into a defensible earthen and stone fortress, no longer fearing fire.
In the future, if wealthy enough, they could further replace the wooden walls with stone, turning it into a real castle.
By then, should enemies attack again, the soldiers would not need to face great risk and casualties by lining up outside to confront them. They would merely hold Longka's walls and wait for reinforcements.
